    Building a kids outdoor playset complete with instructions is not a weekend project.
    I am on step 6 out of 78 according to the manual.

    We paid maybe $100 more to have the nice Amish guys down south build, deliver and install my daughter's play set. It is not a weekend project. I'm sorry for that. Since handcrafted was so close and for not much more, we saved our sanity and went with that. That play set? The neighborhood group of girls love it.

    It'll be worth it in the end.

    I really can lose my voice at a concert. Wrigley night 1 taught me this. Usually pretty reserved as a concertgoer but on Saturday, I was a fan possessed.

    Mine is still gone. Usually happens after 2 back to back shows. But this time it only took 1.

    If I ever again leave town after Night 1 of a two night run, I will regret it immensely. Even if there was no way around it.

    Pritzker Pavilion is an awesome venue to see a show.

    A 99 cent poncho does a better job at keeping you dry than $60 rain coat.

    I have yet to meet a Dave (or "Dave") that I did not like.

    Apparently I only smile when my wife is around. My wife helped organize a party/get together for her coworkers and I volunteered to be a pseudo-bartender for the thing. I didn't really know many people and am naturally introverted, so I wasn't chatting and making a lot of small talk. One of the people there made that observation and mentioned it to my wife. She said that was one of the sweetest and saddest things she's heard someone say about me.
