    greed.

greed is in our very nature. it's hardwired into our very DNA. Ever since the first caveman clubbed another caveman to get a better piece of food, greed is part of what makes us human.

while yes we are greedy by nature, i don't believe we are excessively greedy. now a days we have gotten to the point that if we don't get everything we want we must blame others.

Did the Tea Party spend any government money? If so, how did they spend it? Also, explain to me this, did the Tea Party lower taxes? If so, how did they do that?

I'll wait for a real answer to these questions.

Did the Tea Party spend government money? Short answer, yes:

Did the tea party lower taxes? No.

First, your short answer has absolutely no facts behind it. Did they spend government money? If so, when and how?

Second, the article you referenced doesn't have anything to do with how they "SPENT" (past tense) money. It's more along the lines of what they would like to do with "Spending" (future tense).

This part I agree with because they haven't done squat yet.

When you get down to it. They're too new to have done anything substantial. Therefore, blaming them is absolutely ridiculous. It's like blaming a group of people who were calling the police about a fire overtaking the city. They didn't set it, they were warning people about it.

Where do you think social security, medicare and medicaid come from? The magic money fairy? Why are there a disproportionately-high number of government aid recipients who are also tea party supporters?

Did they adjust social security, medicare and medicaid entitlement spending, genius?

The question is (when) and how (specifically) have the Tea Party altered spending?

    That wasn't your original question:

OP: When you ask serious questions, you get serious answers. Playing cut and paste google scholar in an attempt to insult people and thwart real discussion, is just wasting time.

Obviously? What is obvious to you about what I have or haven't read? The only known factor here is that you have some knowledge about one Vonnegut book that you may or may not have read.

    I have said nothing.

    Peace.

no, but maybe that should be your avatar.

i have added to the discussion.

i said the tea party is responsible in part for what has happened. the other responsibilty lies with obama for settling on a stinker of a deal just to pass anything.

Obama did lay a stinker. I agree with you on that.

I did have an avatar pic showing the way I like to abuse Ronald McDonald, but some nice PJ fan reported me and I had to change it....

I see where you're going with that, but equating this one to the use of the "N-Word" is ridiculous. (And a HUGE stretch)

AGAIN. Derogatory terms are not acceptable in these forums. Do a search of your friendly neighborhood moderator's posts for today and see what was said if you missed seeing it on the locked thread.

DO NOT use derogatory terms here. Teabagger is derogatory and adds nothing to the discussion and it doesn't matter if some called themselves that before they knew what it meant. Tea Party members are insulted by it and so you can't do it.

to do this we first have to define how we want to see America. what values do we want America to have? i personally think that this is the reason why we can't answer that questions.

The Tea Party movement only exists to meet the demand of poorly educated political consumers. It's time to start calling out those who ARE responsible. You, Your Family, Your Neighbors, Your Friends. An ignorant and gullible electorate created the Tea Party. They are to blame.

I think we've proven my point today.
