The tea party is not responsible for this mess

The Tea Party movement only exists to meet the demand of poorly educated political consumers. It's time to start calling out those who ARE responsible. You, Your Family, Your Neighbors, Your Friends. An ignorant and gullible electorate created the Tea Party. They are to blame.

care to elaborate on this? I personally don't blame the tea party per ce. i blame a culture in which individuality trumps the collective.

I blame a culture of mediocrity, a culture where the best and the brightest are no longer held in high regard. All men are NOT created equal, and it is the responsibility of the government to make them so. So rather than raising our standards, we lower them to the point where ignorance is celebrated.

you wanna know what hte real problem in the united states?

    greed.

it comes in dems, reps and tea's.

    we sent jobs over seas
    we warred for oil
we tax the shit out of everything, and then let the powers that be fleece us and put that money into their own pockets.
we bail out the too big to fail
    auto unions

greed is in our very nature. it's hardwired into our very DNA. Ever since the first caveman clubbed another caveman to get a better piece of food, greed is part of what makes us human.

there is good greed, if you want to use the term greed, and that drives us to have a fruitful life, and create value in that life.

than there is bad greed, where people try and screw each other over, and do anything and everything to fill their chest full of gold.

depends on who you ask i guess...

the problem is you can not fix ignorance and apathy.
we have pills for hair growth and erectile dysfunction but there is nothing we can do to combat ignorance or give people empathy.

no matter how many facts you put in front of people they see things how they see them and will fight you every step of the way. you can not educate those who refuse to be educated.

while yes we are greedy by nature, i don't believe we are excessively greedy. now a days we have gotten to the point that if we don't get everything we want we must blame others.

First, your short answer has absolutely no facts behind it. Did they spend government money? If so, when and how?

Second, the article you referenced doesn't have anything to do with how they "SPENT" (past tense) money. It's more along the lines of what they would like to do with "Spending" (future tense).

This part I agree with because they haven't done squat yet.

When you get down to it. They're too new to have done anything substantial. Therefore, blaming them is absolutely ridiculous. It's like blaming a group of people who were calling the police about a fire overtaking the city. They didn't set it, they were warning people about it.

Did they adjust social security, medicare and medicaid entitlement spending, genius?

The question is (when) and how (specifically) have the Tea Party altered spending?
