i would love to see them again. so far i've only caught them on the st. anger tour and i was not overly impressed. ever since i got into death magnetic (thanks to my friend who convinced me to give it a chance), i've been craving another show. the unforgiven iii may be my favourite metallica song these days.

i was at the movies the other night watching the trailers. The trailer for Zero Dark Thirty is being shown and this song came up and it occurred to me it's a cover of "Nothing Else Matters". After doing some research found out it's an all women's choir from Belgium or something. Really nice version though

Pearl Jam needs to do the 6-8 minute ballad/rock song like off the Load/Reload era..... as much as I love Pearl Jam, most of their songs seem way too short.

Seen them 3 times:

'96, '98, had a ticket for the '03 Summer Sanitarium show but ended up in the ER with encephalitis (played Harvester too, dammit), and in 2005. Nothing better than 20,000 people throwing fists in the air screaming "die" over and over during Creeping Death.

... and Justice for All is one of the most bad ass albums from start to finish. I grew up in a very religious family, and metal wasn't allowed. A cousin dubbed me a copy that I stashed inside the box spring of my bed so my folks wouldn't find it. Remember blasting the shit out of that tape on the Walkman a night and on the bus. Love that album!

Saw them at the O2 in London in 2009. They put on one hell of a show. Played a few odd numbers from Justice. Great band indeed. Although I think they kinda lost it creatively. I really think they should just be a live act.

I thought Death Magnetic was really good.

They don't seem like the type of band that demands creativity as much as they are the type of band to pump out rockers. I'm not saying they're ACDC, but they aren't exactly Pink Floyd either.

I've seen them twice, most recently at Lollapalooza last year. They've still got it, that show was fantastic! They're a great live band.
