I was going to stay there.
Got there, paid the $. Went to find a spot in the downpour with water up to my ankles. Placed a tarp down to "mark our spot"...mostly to keep it from being washed away. Got in the car and left.
Met a f'n awesome Jammer at the show who let us stay with her in her hotel. Best decision I've ever made! So glad I didn't have to sleep in a f'n puddle!
It does suck that I paid the money and left a tarp behind. F! Was a quality tarp!
Great times this weekend. Met a ton of great people. Caught a nasty head cold from the rain saturday and boozing all weekend and made for a miserable flight on Monday but well worth it. Had a lot of fun with ya'll.
Keep in touch and see ya at future shows.

First day I hated it and I thought I was going to regret staying there. When I got back from the show I went through an entire roll of paper towels mopping out my tent (i forgot to bring a towel). But that night I slept so well and woke up to a beautiful day. About 7am, I left to get a wonderful breakfast at a hole in the wall I saw on the drive over. Then came back and met my cool neighbors. Hung out for a few hours until I left for the venue. Back that night we all sat by a fire and laughed and laughed trying to stay warm.
Great place. Could have done without the Canadians between 4 AM and breakfast time...
Ok I have to know, what did my people do? Please elaborate. If it's really bad I'll buy you guys a beer at TO 2 or Hamilton.
The Canadians were a ton of fun. They had two RVs there. The only problem was, they never slept. We had PJ singalongs the entire weekend, which is fantastice, but when you finally pass out at 4 in the morning and you get woken up at 6 am to 'I am Mine' being played by Canucks, you kind just wanted to scream. But no one told them to shut up, so can we blame them?

Well said. Although it was really the 27th attempt at State of Love and Trust that probably put me over the edge. The 26 before it were tolerable. I just figured at some point one of them might have looked around and thought to themselves "...no one else is awake...wonder if we're being too loud..." as the sun was coming UP. My shoes were keeping my feet warm otherwise I might have thrown one. But good times had by all...

If I could do it over again I would in a heart beat! Had a great time, met so many awesome people here, thank you everyone. Loved the late nights and early mornings at the camp fire, and here's to hoping Smirnoff man is safely making his way around Canada, meatstick in pocket and handle in hand.

that guy was a trip. Monday morning at 9 am as we were readying to leave, he came walking by and we offered him a shot. For the first time all weekend, he said no. So, to return the favor, we pressured him a bit. He gave in and took a big ole swig of captain morgan. Cheers Smirnoff man.

Pretty sure his name was Bart. Hilarious, probably the drunkest person I've ever seen in my life. He was nice though. His stories had me crying laughing. I thought the campsite was a blast and met some great people. So glad I cancelled the hotel and camped instead. The shuttle, the rain, the food, the company all made for an amazing experience....oh and then there was the actual music!
