Heading out from CT with my buddy Andy and booked Friday through Monday. Flying in to Madison and will make our way over. Looking to pick up some solid local brews. Anyone have any recommendations? Should be all set up by later afternoon and will be ready to kick the weekend off Friday night if anyone's gonna be around.

    Peace,

    JR

Ale Asylum, Lakefront, and New Glarus to name a few. If you'll be in Madison I'd recommend stopping at the Great Dane and grabbing a couple growlers :D

So we decided to go with the shuttle!! Called the shuttle number and they said that they were getting the pontoon boat shuttle for us arranged and that they are starting to run around 130 and 2 and then will return to Alpine around 130am to pick us up. Said they have two busses but would get more if needed. CANNOT WAIT! :D

Pat says she's nearing the end of her 300 person limit.

I haven't read all of the posts, so I hope I'm not repeating anything. She called it "tent to tent camping" which means you can't park by your tent, but can drive to your spot to unload items. There is about 2.5 acres for the tents.

She did seem really excited and mentioned having some cooked food available too.

Thanks for your help guys, this is a good find.

I'm kinda torn about what I want to do.
I'm staying at this site, which I think will be great, but...

I'm not sure if I want to get the shuttle or take my car to Alpine. I love the idea of the shuttle: Drink all day and not have to worry about driving. I also like the idea of driving a car to tailgate out of. I plan to tailgate, and the whole idea of lugging a giant cooler full of beer and food across the lake to the shuttle, then when you get to the venue have to drag around the damn thing, find a place to stash it during the show, then lug it back...x2 days.

    Hmmmmm.... :?

The shuttles/buses from snug harbor are staying at the venue with the driver until we return. The gal told me we can leave coolers/etc on the bus once we go in. I was concerned about where to party/tailgate as well but may just end up setting up shop at/near the bus. Hope the driver is cool with that...

I'm staying at Snug Harbor and would love to jump in on this. I'll swim across the lake if I have to!:lol::lol: Or maybe row, don't want the donation items to get wet :D

I was going to looking into using the local taxi service to go the 10 miles to Super 8, and grab the shuttle from there. Not sure what their service hours are since they don't have a web site. Will have to call.

For as great as the shuttle sounds, my buddy and I decided driving and tailgating out of our own car is the way to go.

Let me know if you guys are interested, and maybe we can figure out some arrangements.

Not trying to change your mind, but when I talked to Sharon at Snug Harbor yesterday, she told me there were enough people at McIntyres taking the shuttle that she was going to have them picked up there instead of at Snug Harbor.
