here's what happened season 1 -

it's simple

get in the league

make 6 nfl picks against the spread each week

maybe win money

check out the rules from last year

and we take suggestions on new rules

entry fee and payout is determined by how many people gets in pool

Im down. For those that didn't participate last year, ed does a great job of running these pools. Whoever won last year got paid in a timely manner.

Only thing I'd recommend we change is to add a half point to each line so there aren't any pushes

Hopefully these idiots get their shit together and this lockout finally ends this week

i'm in... i read a few pages from last year's thread, but never really found the decided-upon rules... i'm sure i'll figure it out as we go.

but it seems the main things are:

- $25
- 6 picks per week
- mail check to Ed by start of week 2 games

the rules are simple

pick 6 nfl games against the spread

example-

if there are thursday games, lines will be posted wednesday morning

any thursday picks must be pm'ed to me before kickoff

same as above with saturday games

sunday game lines will be posted on friday mornings

any sunday picks must be pm'ed to me before 12:30 pm ( est) sundays

monday lines will be out on friday am along with the sunday lines

if you want a monday pick, it must be in with the sunday picks before 12:30 pm


money will be figured out after we know how many want in


we can vote on having every line have a half point later

if waiting trophy gets in
we have 10

10 @ $20 = 200 to winner ( this is a $1.17 bet per week @ 17 weeks )

10 @ 25 = 250 to winner ( this is a $1.47 bet per week @ 17 weeks )

10 @ 30 = 300 to winner ( this is a $1.76 bet per week @ 17 weeks )

10 @ 40 = 400 to winner ( this is a $2.35 bet per week @ 17 weeks )


10 @ 40 = $10 per week into pot if anyone goes six-for-six, this would carry over if nobobdy hits it
and any in pot after week 17 goes to overall winner + 230 to winner ( this is a $2.35 bet per week @ 17 weeks )
