2 PARTY BUSES FROM DOWNTOWN MILWAUKEE TO ALPINE FOR SUNDAY!!

im not gonna lie, only about 3 and a half cases. i wish we had a larger brewing compacity but we don't. also it's not the cheapest venture either. with the cost of ingredients and such and the cost of bottles we figured on this batch of pj20 beer we've got a lttle over $50 per case our cost. the botles are what kills. they are about $17 for a case of new empties. usually we just reuse ours so we don't have to buy new ones but i figured most likely everyone will want to keep a bottle for a souvenier. my plan was to give everybody one on the bus to start when we got going then they can do what they want with it. drink, save it, whatever. then whatever is left we'll see where it goes. ultimately me and matt would like to have a few ourselves as reward for our work on it, then we'll see who really likes it. some people may not want anymore. I'd like to say i have enough beer to supply everyones drunk, but alas i don't. just wanted to contribute something for the special weekend that it is. cheers!nothing as it seems.....0

maybe we can all crackem together at some point early in the day and you can lead the toast over the loud speaker, Pete!nothing as it seems.....0

still room on that 2nd party bus for 2 more?0
-
Are any of you bussers still looking for tickets? I still have my Saturday RES/Sunday GA, with wristband of course, looking for face value.0

What up party bus people!
so I took some time today to put together a list of things for our Sunday tailgate party. I also placed our meat order today for 60 brats, 60 Italian sausages, 65 hot dogs and 80 hamburgers. I'll pick the buns up on Saturday Sept 3rd after work while most of you are getting your drink on for the first night of PJ! I'm planning on doing all the other shopping on my day off Thursday Sept 1st.
I won't be buying any alcohol or soda, that I'm leaving to each of you to BYOB and soda! I will be bringing a huge amount of water. I'm going to pick up 5 cases or 350/8oz mini bottles of water. If you guys think we need more water, let me know and I'll get more. I'm also picking up ketchup, mustard, relish, plates, napkins, cups, both 12oz and the handy little 3oz ones for anyone interested in partaking in ice cold shots, that would be me! I thought I would also pick up a bunch of those pub mixes, huge bags of peanuts, assorted bags of Frito Lay chips, charcoal and fluid, garbage bags, containers to put all the grilled meat in, aluminum foil. I don't have the list in front of me, but I probably am leaving some thing out.
The cost per person is going to be $10. I'm not going make everyone paypal the $10, I was just going to collect it that Sunday. I've been adding the word BBQ in red next to your name if you've pm'd or emailed me telling me your interested. For any of you that are interested, pm me or email me your name and the names of the people in your group and I will put a big red BBQ next to your name.
This goes out to all you locals and people traveling to Milwaukee by car. I know I'm kinda sounding like a broken record about coolers and chairs, but if you have extra space in your car, and have an extra cooler or chair that would fit, please bring it. I have mentioned to some of you that I also have a huge 12 x 20 foot canopy tent I'm bringing as well. So rain or shine, we will be covered!
Lastly, you may all find this surprising, but I am still receiving a bunch of pm's and emails looking for seats! If you have not yet paid for your seat, please do so no later than this Friday. After Friday, I would hate to do it, but I'm going to open up the seats to anyone that is on the waiting list. As of tonight, there are 9 people looking for seats. Again, I don't want to see any of you lose your seat, so please have your payments in by this Friday, August 26th. I just want to go into the last week and not have to worry about the buses. Price per person is $35 and paid through paypal. If you have a paypal account send your payment to pdane70@yahoo.com.
If you do not have a paypay account you will need to send me your email address and I will then send you a paypal money request. Please include your name or names of those in your group that you are paying for. As soon as I receive your payment, I will mark you down on the list. Don't forget to let me know if you want to be added to the BBQ list as well.
As always, If any of you has any questions, please let me know.
Have a great night everyone!

You deserve some kind of award for all this...or several dozen bottles of alcohol
Thanks so much for arranging all of this. It is going to be insane!

I was just informed that the 15 foot beer bong has officially been put together! Who wants the first one!0

Is there any room on the bus? is this just for Sunday?0
-
Yep, the bus is for Sunday only. As of right now, both buses have been filled and everyone on bus #1has already paid for there seats. I've asked that everyone on bus 2 to please have there seats paid for no later than this Friday August 26. I would hate to do it, but after Friday, any seats not paid for will be going up for grabs to the first people that send in there money through paypal. I have about 9 people still looking for seats as of today.0

Boards built, sanded and primed... tonight the first coat of paint goes on! Can't believe the party is almost here!0

Matt, I was wondering when we where going to get a board update! I was thinking of asking several times, but did not want to disturb an artist at work! It almost sounds like it's going to be to nice to use! You should hold a silent auction for the board at the end of the day!
BBQ UPDATE. It looks like mostly everyone on bus #1 is going for the BBQ. I have not heard much from those on bus 2 yet.

Two coats of paint, sanded this morning and then final base coat laid down. Will beging the actual artwork this evening - a tad nervous about it. I got a picture sent to me of the bags I'm having made yesterday too and they look pretty nice. Orange bags with black bubbles and a PJ in the bottom right to correspond with the 2003 board and then black bags with the "alive stickman" on the other bags. I've officially hit new levels of PJ geekdom even for me. :ugeek:0 -
Since this is not going to be your typical 3 or 4 hour tailgate, does anyone know if Alpine sells or will be selling ice outside in the parking lot on Saturday and Sunday? It sure would be nice if they did!0

They never have any other time I've been there and the Parrot heads (especially) usually go through a lot of ice...0
