I think there should be a strict DRINKING HAT policy for the party bus..... We could be the PJ20 drinkin hat gang..... We started this for the 09 Manchester /London ..continued it last year for Dublin/Belfast/London/berlin..so we have to continue it in th USofA :).. Don't ask me how or why... It must have been a good idea at the time...

LOL!!!!!:lol::lol: I gotta say I'm maxed out at 2 party buses! BTW, how's the special PJ20 bean bag game coming?

I got the raw materials yesterday and I'm hoping to make some headway on the build and design today. I'm having a little trouble deciding on what exactly I want to paint on the boards.

    Thoughts so far are:

I think for sure the stick man on one board.

Second board I've basically trimmed down to either:

Royal skull picture from a lot of the riot act type merchandise
    or
Recreating the Poster from Pearl Jam Alpine Valley 2003 concert.

    Thoughts?

I'm also getting quotes today on my personalized bean bags (embroidered logos vs silk screen)

    Should be fun. :P

    great idea

That looks great Patrick, I wish I could say mine was mounted as nicely. At any rate I've always loved that poster (maybe because it was my first poster, maybe because it was one of the most perfect days in Wisconsin history, maybe because that show was amazing - maybe all of these things) and it is definitely going on one board. I can't wait to get out of work and get started on it!

I got raw materials on Sunday and some paint, but I probably need more paint now that I'm going to do the 2003 Alpine poster as one board. Last night I spent a couple of hours working on the design. Tonight hopefully I can build the boards, sand and get the primer coat of paint down. Then the real meticulous work starts trying to recreate some Ames magic! I'm still waiting to get final word on additional people for the bus, I'll let you know as soon as I find out.

    Hey Pete!
I was going to contact Party Bus Donny on this myself, but there is no email address on his site….I can call from home later, but if you can check into this for me it would save me a couple bucks on long distance….

Is there a secure place to leave stuff on the bus, or with Donny, while we’re inside the venue? I’m thinking poster tubes and/or other merch items…it looks like we can buy stuff outside the gates, so it would be nice if we could leave it on the bus somehow without worrying about it…

Also…watching the party bus videos…it doesn’t look like there is any kind of temporary railings on that party platform….…that surprises me, has to be some kind of liability issue for PDB, doesn’t it? Won’t catch me up there for long, surrounded by rowdies with bellies full of PJ20 beer and irish whiskey!
