  • The way i see it is like this. Yes obviously Eddie sounds different than he did in '94. And similar to his voice, Eddie is a different person than he was back then. I just see it as evolving. I love his voice singing on old pearl jam, new pearl jam, ukulele songs, into the wild. There's actually something nice about eddie not sounding the way he did back in 94. I'm not sure what it is but there's something i really love about the way he sounds now. maybe it's just me. I suppose i can understand the opposing viewpoint too though

  • Also in terms of the acl show his voice was off on some but DTE was kinda sick in my opinion

Eddie was immense at the bridge 2010. Just saying.

Easily my favourite singer in the world so you won't hear me criticise for a second

I agree that Eddie was immense at Bridge 2010. I had never heard him sing before, and when the first notes of "Last Kiss" began, I was completely blown away!

Since then, I have listened to early PJ, and although I love his voice back then, I really do prefer it now. To me, it sounds richer, deeper, huskier.

When I saw him solo last month in Philly, the sound and tone of his voice had such beauty that it brought tears to my eyes. I have to say, I have never been so affected by a singer in all my years of listening to music.

Can't wait to hear him again in Canada!! :D
