Hi every one, I’m not sure if I’ll get any response from you but I felt the need to send you this message.
6 Years ago, I saw the band perform in Ferrocarril Stadium (Buenos Aires - Argentina) both days. I remember I paid U$D 20.00 per show, and I got to see the band from the main field and get pretty close to the stage in deed.
Today, I found an article saying that the tour date set for Argentina in November 13th (this year) in the “Estadio Unico de La Plata” is 90% confirmed, and also, an estimated price list of the tickets.
It came to my surprise when I saw the list and compared to what I paid 6 years ago. I even took the job to update the value of the ticket with the inflation rates per year (25% of inflation each year). I couldn’t
believe it. According to that list I’m supposed to pay U$D 120 for the same ticket. Not only that, but now we also have a VIP sector. I honestly felt terrible.
Nevertheless, I’m still interested in one thing, is it maybe that the show that PJ is planning to give in our country this year will cost more (a lot MORE) money because of a larger investment? Better scenario? Nicer Lights Show? Bigger Screens? Better sound?
If that would be the reason, I have no problem at all. But if the show is to be as much “basic” as the one in 2005, then I feel like deeply broken hearted and betrayed.
I mean, don't get me wrong, 2005 was the best that happened to my life ever. But still, 400% of increase in the price list!!!????
If that would be the case, I’d say farewell PJ.
Thanks for your time, your music, your magic. I'm givin away my PJ albums and throwing away any stuff I purchased in the past.
PS... And don't get surprised guys....this is just what you taught me with your music and activism.
Stick to your ideals, and fight.
Truer words never spoken. The "business" side of this band is making it harder and harder each year to stay passionate.
Here in Brazil, the prices for this concert comparing to 2005 they didn´t rise soooo much...It was R$ 120 in 2005 and now is R$ 190 (both GA prices).
But, for other bands, the prices here is really outrageous. I saw Red Hot Chilli Peppers here in São Paulo in 2002, and I remember I paid R$ 50 for general admission ticket, in a stadium that holds almost 60.000 people. This year they will play again here, in a small place (the parking lot of Sambódromo, the place that happens carnival here), it holds really less than 60.000 and they will charge R$ 200. I´m not going.
I´m passing RHCP and Eric Claton (will be really expensive too) in October just to see PJ

Hello there. One question.. What about if the TC members will have the chance to enter before the rest of the people to the concert as in previous times, or if this time it will be different with no preferences.
Thanks ..
See ya in Southamerica..

It´s true that there´s a huge difference between 2005 prices and this one... but I think 2005 was really cheap comparing with other shows or artists, and obviusly with US or Europe prices.
It´s expensive anyway..it would mean a big effort!
(2) tickets to Las Vegas, 2000 - $56.00
(2) tickets to Las Vegas, 2003 - $77.00
(2) tickets to Las Vegas, 2006 - $112.40
(2) tickets to L.A., 2006 - $117.40
(2) tickets to EV, L.A. 2011 - $169.00
Even with inflation adjustments, the ticket price increases have been just a tad excessive in my opinion - doubled in a 6 year period. Don't get me wrong - I still think the shows are worth the price, and seeing EV last week was probably my favorite show since seeing PJ the first time in '95. But from a "nuts and bolts" perspective, the product is still the same since 2000 - only thing I've really seen change is the lighting/backdrops.
I'm sure venues are squeezing acts for more $$$, and TM fees have gotten crazy from a percentage perspective. Sometimes as much as 80-90% of the face value of the ticket. And why they aren't a flat fee per ticket, rather than increasing with each ticket level is absurd. I'm ready to go back to the days of paying $15 for a physical album so artists don't have to depend so much on concert ticket sales. But that would require them to produce 12-15 GOOD SONGS at once, something very few bands are doing in these days and not really feasible since the album concept is all but dead.
Osaka, Japan (2/21/95), San Diego (7/10/98), Las Vegas (10/22/00), San Diego (10/25/00), Las Vegas (6/6/03), Las Vegas (7/6/06), Los Angeles (7/9/06), VH1 Rock Honors (7/12/08), Ed Solo (7/8/11), Ed Solo (11/1/12), Los Angeles (11/23/13)

Curitiba it's R$ 300 for "VIP'S" and R$200 for the others. It is very sad, very sad in deed.
Hey, I have a doubt: I saw that we're going to have a presale, nevertheless, in 2005, the TenClub members could got in the stadium before the gates opened. Is the same thing going to happen this time? And if it is, how can they tell who's from the TC and who's not? For the ticket, or they get a list or something?

I´m very disappointed with this ticket system and with the fact there won´t be any wristbands...
I´m even thinking of not renewing my membership next year...
In 2005 everything was perfect... we bought the tickets and we arrived earlier in the venues to collect our wristbands...
Can anyone explain (and duly justify) why this time will be different?
Honestly, I was thinking of going to 6 shows (all in Brazil and 1 in Argetina)... now I just don´t know...
I just don´t think it´s fair with all 10C members from South America... You guys have no idea how people act before entering the venues here... Unfortunately there are a lot of people who doesn´t respect the lines, sometimes even the police can´t make them respect the lines...
I know I´m just one... and I know probably you won´t do anything about it... (who cares anyway? it´s all about money, huh?)
Pre-sale and no wristband? That´s not a big deal for us brazilian members...
Everyone needs to send an email to the ten club experssing how they feel about this...Maybe the 10c will try to work something out with the ticket company/venue..
I am sure this will be brought up during the aet tomorrow..

I agree.
It doesn't seem fair for those who pay every year international membership. We don't have the same chances that americans and europeans to see the band. But I can say that it's sad to read from other guy here that we can not complain because the band don't have obligation to came here. For most of people this will be the only chance to see the band.

New on the board here but what is the deal in South America with the wrist bands? Are you suggesting that if you purchase a ticket for what should be a good section in advance through TenClub, that you are unlikely to be able to actually get to that seat or section? If that is the case I will buy the cheapest ticket for sale at the BA show.
I am uneasy buying a ticket for "will call" down there and would pay $25 for international shipping rather than risk not getting my tickets. It looks like since these are sold by the vendor directly that the policy on international shipping would depend for each venue. Anyone have any experience or advice that would apply this tour?

In Latin America there are no marked seats, it's all GA. Even the sections with chairs are not marked, the earlier you get, the best is you seat or position at the GA.
We had this wristband sistem for 10C members back in 2005 to give us early entrance to the venue, and as far as I know, this advantage is given to all GA concerts in Europe and the US. That's what we are asking for.
And another thing: I'm from Brazil and went to a concert in Buenos Aires last year with marked seats on the floor section, but by the 3rd song people from the back invaded the floor and many people got hurt. Audiences in Brazil aren't easy either, so get ready for some crazy fans!
Please review the antecipated entry for fan club members at the shows. For many years the band does it for us. The reason of why we become a member of the fan club is because the band is very important in our lives. I think we deserved a special treatment, for the simple fact that you are special for us...
Thanks a lot! I went to the 2003 and 2005 concerts in Mexico City and they were amazing... the best concerts in my life. I've got a question.... how do I obtain the password or sort of to buy the tickets before any mortal? Thanks!!!!

you had to be a paying member of 10 Club before july 10th. all members received the password last monday.
In Brazil, the problem will be to purchase the T4F´s tickets. This company often have trouble selling concert tickets in Brazil.
I heard the same thing.
Sure, the big problem will be T4F...A BIG problem...When I purchased my U2 tickets, I got really lucky...have loged in T4F page 10 mins before the pre-sale time...After pressing F5 for several times, nothing...had to log off and log in again, and after 15 mins I got it...It was pure luck, because a lot of people did the same with no success...
I just don´t get it why 10c gave the same password for all cities...it it leaks, it will be easy for scalpers to buy at pre-sale...even with no 10c number..Why we can´t put our 10c number? So it will be more difficult for scalpers to buy this way don´t you agree? If they put the same passworld for all 10c members, how do they know if a fan or a scalper is 10c member or not? They will ask us about our 10c number also right?
Danced around my room when I got the email on the South-America tour. Happy for the South-Americans and happy for me :-) I'll be doing my own little South America-tour, just a bit slower than Pearl Jam. The Peru-concerts fits perfectly in my non-existant plan (travelling Brazil-Argentina-Bolivia-Peru-Chile-Argentina!). But: I have so many questions.
Anybody can help me on understanding the website of http://www.tuentrada.com.pe? My three months Spanish course just doesn't help.
1) Is there an option where I can pick up the tickets in Lima? I'm leaving Holland this september and don't really want to take the risk in letting the tickets send from Peru to my home...
2) Can I only pay with a Visa card?
3) What section is the best in the stadium?
4) I am travelling alone, somebody wants to meet up? A bit anxious of South American crowds :-)
