Wilco was a blast live!! Really solid show, had a great time!!

had an amazing time at the show. now i just need to search for a download of the npr stream. the new songs sounded great, and the band was as tight as ever. loved the stage setup and lights for this tour. t shirts were really cool too, i got the grey one with the album art. it was a little shorter than the last few shows i've seen them play, but i think it was consistent with most of the other sets from the tour. anytime you get the chance to see wilco, you know it's gonna be great. if you have a terrible time at a wilco show, chances are, that's a you problem. just sayin.

....another note, i wish more concert crowds would be like wilco crowds. probably a result of not too many young people being very interested in their music, but still, such a peaceful bunch last night.

My friend and I noted a lot of what you just said- band was super tight, stage set up was fantastic, great shirts, and loved the vibe from the crowd! Also was my first time at Merriweather and I really liked the venue. I'll be back there again on thursday for Ray LaMontagne and have pavilion seats, so it will be a little different than being on the lawn like we were from Wilco! As for young people not being very interested in their music, I totally agree. My friend and I are young but are very much into the music! We found it hilarious and sadly typical of a lot of people at shows these days when Jeff called out the two young people texting in the front row! But yeah, what a feel good show from a great band!

you might be able to find it somewhere if someone taped it. i'd search over at forums.viachicago.org....fortunately for us, the merriweather show was streamed live by npr. my download hasn't finished, but i'm assuming this is a soundboard recording.

Art of Almost has to be one of the greatest opening tracks of any album in recent memory...
Still putting quality time into this album. So far I would put it in the best of 2011 category for sure...

Art of Almost is absolutely stunning. Also loving the last song as well. I think this album is way better than their last. Can't wait to see these songs live sometime soon.

give it time. "dawned on me" is becoming my favorite track. couldn't get it out of my head all day. the album is very catchy.

you not impressed with "one sunday morning"? that was the other one that was an immediate standout for me upon first listen. i don't think i was alone there.

Diggin the new album...Favorite's so far

Art of Almost...mostly the first half, would be my favorite but I think Nels coulda done so much more with the guitar playing in the jam

Sunloathe...has a distinct Because(Abbey Rd) vibe that I find appealing

I Might...Just keeps growin on me, I didn't even really like it when they released it as the single

Black Moon... Love the way the vocal is presented...reminds me of why I like Sounds Better In A Song from DBT

Born Alone...My absolute favorite, just a cool song all around

Don't understand the love that One Sunday Morning is getting. It's a nice idea that they never really build on or change. After 12 minutes it got a little stale to me.

All in all a pretty great album, but I dunno if it can knock Circuital off the top of year. Maybe that'll change after next Tuesday.

It sounds good even though it is low. Just like that night I guess- I can't stand Central Park anymore because the sound is way too low.

I didn't either until I saw Broken Social Scene there last year and the volume was much higher than usual. Too bad other shows did not sound the same.

maybe it was just wilco that had the sound turned down. merriweather wasn't very loud either. a lot of wilco fans are getting old, and although they aren't playing lullabies or anything, their music is certainly not like... pearl jam for example. as long as people aren't talking around me, having the sound turned down doesn't really bother me. i think it makes it easier to hear all of the instruments more clearly which is certainly a positive. not to mention my head felt much better on the drive home than it usually would after a rock show.

First night in atlanta was a little subdued. Crowd was disapointing.

Last night was way different and way better. They killed it last night and the crowd came along for the ride.

    Thank you wilco.

so awesome to watch Nels Cline shred with Duwane Allman's gold top les paul :D Nels seemed a little choked up when he said thanks to the museum for letting him use it fot both nights shows in ATlanta.

Problem was that it was raining the night I saw them. And since people are annoying and had umbrellas out, we all had to deal with the sound of the rain hitting them and the lower sound.
