Because the U.S government has never supported any murderers, right?

You supported and funded Sadaam Hussein when he was gassing Kurds. You also supported and funded the Latin American death squads in the 1980's when they were raping and murdering tens of thousands of people.

But the U.N deserves your condemnation?

let us not forget how we bankrolled osama bin laden and the mujahadeen while they were fighting the russians in afghanistan in the 80's.

and what about that arms for hostages deal with iran?

What was that little girl's life, hopes and dreams worth to you Byrnzie?

You dare to judge the mother of that girl? The mother that had her little child raped, and brains bashed in?

You say she "is chomping at the bit to watch a man die?"

    How dare you?

The death penalty is revenge, pure and simple. The mother of this girl wanted revenge.

    Now answer my earlier question:

You people claim to be Christians. Do you think Jesus would support the death penalty?

I'm sure Ted Bundy would agree with Albert Camus.

Then again, maybe not. I mean he premeditated the murders of 30+ young women.

Live by the sword and die by the sword. Go Texas.

    That's so Christian of you.

Justice is a Christian principle. The Bible approached the issue less provocatively than I did just now, but live by the sword and die by the sword.

Why do you people insist upon protecting bloodthirsty murderers by shielding them with my tax dollars?

What purpose do they serve again? Besides spreading cholera in third world countries?

We can disagree on this all day, but please I would hope you can look at this without blinders. Many of us against the death penalty do not have the goal of shielding/protecting, or wasting money on convicted murderers and rapists.. We just realize that its not a deterrent and feel that its for revenge and is barbaric. And I thought you would know better -- that the DP actually wastes A LOT more of your tax dollars than life in prison.

In addition, the Nader quote that Byrnzie posted was PERFECT. You cannot execute ONE innocent person and claim the system works. ITS FLAWED.

Revenge and justice are two very distinct, very separate things.

Let's agree to disagree Johnny. I like you, I don't want to fight you.

i have asked you to stop calling me out in your posts 3 times now. stop derailing the thread to have a go at people.

are you going to answer the questions in my post? will you AT LEAST acknowledge that it happened? prove it wrong if you can, but these are well established facts.
