here is what Roland said about these two posters:

"I'm so grateful for the tremendous response that was given for my first Eddie Vedder poster for Sydney. It is truly an honor to work with Eddie and his team again on the posters for Eddie's tour stop in San... Diego which happened earlier this evening.

I was thrilled to have San Diego assigned to me. Long ago I was a resident of SD for three years during my first games job, but I remembered going to visit Shamu at Sea World a few times as a kid so it felt natural to include the Orca in the image. The first sketch I sent Eddie and his team was Shamu jumping unconfined and free off the waters of San Diego. Eddie gave it a go, but then he also wanted another poster to contrast the first and to make a statement. Something darker that commented on how Shamu is not in his natural setting at Sea World, kind of sad and dejected. So the second poster shows the whale being still in its stage area and I added an Orca shaped cloud jumping like the first poster, as if Shamu is dreaming of being free. It was a wonderful idea to have two posters that can comment on that and I enjoyed the ease of collaborating with Eddie on these thoughts. Big thanks to Eddie and to Chris for this amazing opportunity."

That is pretty sweet. But imagine if every Ed/Pearl Jam show you go to were given an option of 2 prints? It would be awesome!!!!!

I have come around on this one quite a bit. Like many I was not very impressed when I first saw the design. But the more I look at it the better I like it. I love the simple coloring, the wave design that mimics the arch, and the lettering. This would look awesome framed and, because it is so understated, you could hang it almost anywhere.

I like the fact that the posters are smaller. Makes for easier (and cheaper) framing.

I have a couple posters from other tours that are just so huge that its almost impossible to frame. They wouldnt fit on any of my walls.

I don't love the posters but I love the idea of the second one. My wife is from SD and my in-laws think it's stupid that I don't want to take my daughter to Sea World when we visit.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

Been to more shows than I can count over the years. I freak out to get in the poster line before they're gone. What are lines like? Have they been selling out?

Chuck is one of the most talented screen printers in the biz, as good as this pic looks, the print in person will look that much more spectacular.
