YOU DON'T BUY FOR TICKETS??? What's the dam point?
Exactly. Which is why I don't care much when we get the single and magazine.

It boggles my mind that the OP lives in Canada and isn't using his or her membership for tickets.

When they go to do the single this year they oughta just get next years ready as well and then they can take 2 years off without having to do anything except mail it.

Hopefully this will be the last time we will have to wait this long for the single. With the new tiered membership I think a lot of people have gone to digital because all they care about is the tickets. The 10c won't have as much vinyl to press.

Sometimes I wonder what with this high tech world we live in that instead of pleasing & making everybody upset with overdue "Christmas" (that's right, it's a Christmas single. Not a holiday single, but a Christmas single, that's what it officially was, started off as & still is) vinyl pressings & delay's on printing newsletters, shipping out goodies etc.. How about releasing some live torrents? DVD & audio show's from the vault to all paying 10club members? 4 times a year @ the start of the month we all get an email with a torrent attachment. You would need a password to download torrent file. We get 1 DVD show & 1 audio show from the vault. Something that hasn't been seen or heard before in the community. Cause I'll tell ya if they are having a hard time on schedule trying to release vinyls, newsletters, server meltdowns & anger on the boards & community, then why not go the way of more digital sharing for their fan's? But still, you can't please everybody but for the time being, it would calm them down a little.

Tickets?!! I wish I could say that was an actual benefit for me. Having been a member on and off since '93
(just couldn't keep up with that damn us postal service), I can say I have gotten 10c tickets only once!
Yup, that's right, shut out every time- doesn't stop me from going to the shows, just makes me drink more
    out of sheer frustration! ;)
Why do I keep paying my dues every year? Because I'm proud to say that I am a 10c member, and the people who are in this fan club love this band as much as I do. I stopped looking for the yearly single a while back, figure if it shows up its a bonus!! Until then I'll continue to support the fan club, even if I enter in my credit card # 20 times and still get shut out.....that is until Dimi stepped in.

I think a lot of people on here feel the same way you do...not that there's anything wrong with that but with that attitude I don't see how things can improve. It sounds like you are saying that you are fine paying money for nothing.

I should add, that since I'm in the 10C and haven't used my tickets for the majority of shows I have been to and have no intention to ever leave the fan club I guess I'm also in it for the same reason you are and consider everything else a bonus :o

It's sad that it isn't called Pearl Jam's Christmas Single anymore. That was what it was & for a long time. Only a few year's ago that they changed it to "Holiday Single" or whatever it's called today. Probably cause they didn't want to get into a heat of discussion about religious beliefs or what not about it. D'oh!

Well why have 6 out of the last 8 had Xmas themed art work, Xmas themed songs and had merry Xmas written all over them? the only two that haven't have been 09 and 06.

Exactly! They are Christmas Singles. Don't know who @ the 10club changed their mind that they aren't anymore but they are what they are since the start of '91. Christmas Singles. And I'll tell ya something, with the long overdue release of the '10 single I bet ya for Christmas '11 we will get a double vinyl release, like '95.
