that's what I signed up for initially. and lots of others do as well. there are thousands of 10C-ers that are members that have nothing to do with this forum, and live somewhere the band almost never tours.

but I came to love the community as well. Now the single is moot to me. I still like Deep though. I just wish we still got two per year.

I didn't start the thread...just saying that I'm in the same boat as the OP!!!
BTW...I have e-mailed the 10Club about this SEVERAL times...but still have not received an answer from anyone regarding this subject!!!

yeah, that part is frustrating, I agree. I have emailed them on several occasions as well for various things and never get a response. it's annoying.

Yes the fans may have been moved down the priority list. That is why its up to us to keep this place a positive community to keep comming back to and get out our feelings on the music or other topics.

Just the people I meet in here is well worth the $40 a year.

The people on the forum are GREAT!!!
I also love the ticket benefits & merchandise (+ occasional discounts) that we get to purchase through the 10Club.
We're just disappointed to not receive the things that were promised when we signed up...
Sorry if this ruffles feathers, but if I'm a paying member in good standing when something that is promised as a member benefit becomes available, why do I not become eligible for this instead of having to wait more than a year to get anything at all?

look......you aren't a big idiot. it's just that there is no set timeline for these things to come out anymore. yes, it used to be expected around Christmas. Yes, then it used to be expected around Easter, and so on and so forth. Keep in mind this seems to be an extremely busy year. You WILL get what you paid for, we just don't know when. None of us do. I haven't received the single or Deep in over a year either. I wish it would come. But I'm not holding my breath. Ed's touring. Stone and Jeff both released new side project albums. Mike's been busy with his bobblehead. And Matt's recording with SG AND PJ at the same fucking time apparently, and Ed is touring hs solo record.

Someone on AET about a month back, maybe Tim, said they had passed a "major hurdle" in getting it done. Who knows what that means, but they said it's "really close". Just be patient. You will get it.

I guess it sort of comes with the territory........the longer you are a member, the less this actually bothers you. It's more of a joke around here than anything else.

For me, the frustrating thing from my perspective is that I rejoined in January so the later last years arrives, the later it will be for this years. Maybe I can expect it by September of 2012! Although I already knew what I was getting myself into having followed the band and forums for years. Hey...maybe like a lot of others have said they will just make a double like 1995 and that would be cool to me!

honestly, I don't know that it's poorly run. depends on who you are blaming. But I'm in the club for more than just those two things and will always be here so it's nothing I really have to worry about. If I were in it for just those two things then I'd be spamming the shit out of them until I got a response and acknowledgement that I'm gonna get what I paid for.

Hopefully this will be the last time we will have to wait this long for the single. With the new tiered membership I think a lot of people have gone to digital because all they care about is the tickets. The 10c won't have as much vinyl to press.

The fan club single is NOT late.

It USED to be called the Christmas single. They stopped producing these at xmas for obvious reasons. There currently is no "Date" the single SHOULD arrive. We get a yearly one. That is, one every year.

I reenewed in December. So far, I got a t-shirt, ticket presales, and later I will get the single and a magazine.

I dont see the problem.

(FYI, the 10C stated that the single is in production will be on its way soon)
