An embarrassment
plain and simple. The 10C should be embarrassed about yesterday. It was a complete and utter failure. I just don't understand how other bands can accomplish pre-sales with little to no problems and this site continually has problems with high demand events. BTW- I'm not planning on going to Alpine and didn't attempt to buy tickets at all yesterday, so looking from the outside, this whole event was just ridiculous.
That said, I understand that things happen, a server crashes, the IT guys get food poisoning, the power goes out, a gas line explodes in the area and no one can man the severs, whatever. But the least you can do for your paying customers is explain that to them. Tell them what the problem is and they are more than understanding. But keep them in the dark, left to rumors and their own devices, and you're asking for trouble (see Sony network outage recently).

here here...
I had tix in my cart early yesterday (around 1:45 eastern), but have not actually been able to get back to the cart or order history to complete my purchase. I feel sure the folks at 10C are not over there lollygagging and laughing at all of us, but cmon... they should have known to outsource this tix sale to avoid the mess that it quickly turned into.0 -
Don't you think they know this????
It's an embarrassment that you would post this. The only people we should try to get even with...
...are those who've helped us.
Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.0 -
two things really anger me.
1. We were left twisting out there for almost 9 hours with a couple little blurbs with extremely vague information.
2. People were able to get in and purchase tickets after we were told to chill out because the store is closed.0 -

The band should be embarrassed. Crappy music like Backspacer is one thing, but running a Mickey Mouse operation like this is a joke.2000: Camden 1, 2003: Philly, State College, Camden 1, MSG 2, Hershey, 2004: Reading, 2005: Philly, 2006: Camden 1, 2, East Rutherford 1, 2007: Lollapalooza, 2008: Camden 1, Washington D.C., MSG 1, 2, 2009: Philly 1, 2, 3, 4, 2010: Bristol, MSG 2, 2011: PJ20 1, 2, 2012: Made In America, 2013: Brooklyn 2, Philly 2, 2014: Denver, 2015: Global Citizen Festival, 2016: Philly 2, Fenway 1, 2018: Fenway 1, 2, 2021: Sea. They did that on AET the day Santos was on. It was a free show that fell through.___________________________________________

The rude comments are not within the Posting Guidelines. Part of dealing with a difficult situation as an adult is doing it with grace and dignity. When people find out what happened, they may regret things they've posted. It would be advisable to get through this now by showing the strength of one's character in times of duress.
If *anyone* attacks another member who is posting something positive in this difficult situation, their account will have to made read-only for this period. The Posting Guidelines still apply.

You have every right to be angry on both of those points.___________________________________________

No we won't because the server crashes during EVERY presale. Usually you, the tenclub, and the band don't care about the difficulties we all have because all the tickets get sold in spite of the crash. But since all the tickets didn't get sold this time, you have to run damage control.2000: Camden 1, 2003: Philly, State College, Camden 1, MSG 2, Hershey, 2004: Reading, 2005: Philly, 2006: Camden 1, 2, East Rutherford 1, 2007: Lollapalooza, 2008: Camden 1, Washington D.C., MSG 1, 2, 2009: Philly 1, 2, 3, 4, 2010: Bristol, MSG 2, 2011: PJ20 1, 2, 2012: Made In America, 2013: Brooklyn 2, Philly 2, 2014: Denver, 2015: Global Citizen Festival, 2016: Philly 2, Fenway 1, 2018: Fenway 1, 2, 2021: Sea. Happy to help.
Norm records it and posts the link in the stickied thread about the show each week. That is how I listen. Worth checking out if you get the chance.
I imagine Wednesday's show might be a bit ugly.___________________________________________

Yep. What a frustrating day yesterday was.
I have a feeling it will be more of the same if the sale does actually resume today.0 -

You don't know me so I'm going to forgive your rude comment and accusation directed at me this one time. My posts are my own because I'm also a fan and when I make posts trying to help people cope in a calm way instead of taking out their frustrations on another member, it's because I care and I can tell you that EVERYONE cares about this and having people be happy. See my sig? That's what this is about and the technical problems are spoiling it up to now. Do not make false accusations again and know this, a lot of people care about the difficulties everyone is experiencing.Falling down,...not staying down0 -
I personally think they should NOT outsource cuz then someone else has the power,Matthew D. Penfield wrote:here here...

an official statement to the members of the club would be a normal, professional, thing to do...."To be the man, you gotta beat the man! WOOOOOOOOO!!"0 -
