Yay! they were playing "The Fixer" as I ended my session and, even tho I despise that song, it seemed somewhat fitting

That's fantastic. How cool of those people to do that. (And I hate The Fixer too, but the thought is nice.)

Still sending positive thoughts your way from D***er land. (Go Giants!)

Step 1 complete!! Good stuff bud.

Glad EV was awesome. I had some serious shit going to down when PJ came out in 2006 and the few gigs were just what the doctor ordered.

Just remember that you can escape the Fall and winter in the US with a trip to Australia to catch our Spring and summer. Not a bad place for some R & R :D

    Love this.

I remember when I first learned you were a firefighter. You were asking for suggestions for movers when you moved from LV to SLC. I posted that it had been a long time but for our last move we'd used off duty firefighters. You said something like "Well, I'm a firefighter and they don't want to do anything but sit on their lazy asses on their off days," which I knew was total bullshit but I laughed anyway.

So now whenever I see one of these trucks around town I think of you:

I'm impressed at how they congratulate you when you finish your therapy. Pretty cool.

That's a big milestone and it must feel great to have come this far with your treatment. It sounded like it was tough sometimes but you did it! :clap::clap:

I am actually working on having my buddy procure more bracelets. Right now there are none to be had....not even on ebay

I absolutely LOVE the thought of shipping them to you guys, all over the freaking world!

Sammy (and I) would be honored to wear them. So glad you are done with radiation...that is a BIG milestone. Here is Sammy done with his...he got a trophy. I know you will have a lot more crap to go through but I hope knowing Sam and a hell of a lot of PJ fans are rooting for you helps :D

Operations aren't so bad. Once that needle goes in and the anaesthetic flows over you the job's done. And when you wake up you get pampered by nurses for a week or two. :)

See if you can hook up an x-box in the hospital room, and don't forget your i-pod.

    SAMMY - YOU'RE THE MAN!!!!!

it hasn't been a great couple of days since I finished radiation. nothing major...I just kind of feel like crap. no matter what I put in my stomach, my stomach doesn't seem to like.

Codie went to Portland to see Eddie. she said it was great, but not as good as the wiltern. so, I'm just chilling at home with the dog. I did manage to take gracie to the park for the the first time in about a month. she saw her friend, sasha, and I saw my buddy, Lance. Lance hadn't seen me in a month and said "dude! I didn't think you'd have hair!" yes, I still have plenty of hair

anyway, chemo will be done in 48 hours. I am so looking forward to losing this pump! hopefully, I'll start to feel better next week....I'm supposed to see the decemberists on wednesday and james mcmurtry next saturday.

Thanks for all your support, guys. some days, it's what gets me through!

Hopefully the pump is gone by now. I wish you speedy healing. When my son was going through chemo, he would go through very specific cravings. First, it was banana laffy taffy. Then garlic bread. Then grill cheese. Then corn dogs......It's funny because since he finished his chemo 3/2009, he's still into corn dogs. It's his "soul" food. Go figure.

Anyway, you'll feel a little better each day. Peace.

I very sorry about your brother  . "passed away" is not a term we've used a whole lot in this thread, but I am aware it's the worst case scenario. that said, it's not a scenario I give much thought to. what stage was your brother? I'm stage II.

well, I finally got rid of the fucking pump. hallelujah!!! I took a long ol' shower today and my focus is getting strong and packing on some pounds . it could be a few days or a week, but I expect to start feeling better soon.

P.S. thanks to carolyn, kyle, kelly and christine for my most recent care package!
