  • So the pj20 happening is likely the first show of the tour?

it looks like the canadian shows are all after pj20 and there hasnt been any sugggestion of other american dates. call me mike mcgreedy (wow that was bad  ) but a one or two usa shows for people who couldnt make/afford it to east troy would be great.

that being said ill be buying tickets to wherever the fuck i can get them to haha tour time baby!

So, is Pearl Jam the only band (aside from an opening act) to play at Alpine Valley, or will this be a festival with many bands?

Will tickets be next to impossible to get do you think? 37,000 sounds small when talking about an event like this.

So far, we have Soundgarden, Mudhoney, Ben Harper & Relentless 7, Liam Finn and The Strokes as the possible opening acts.

Damn, I just wanna see PJ. Maybe, I'll just go to a couple of Canadian shows.

Why? You don't like the possible opening acts? Actually, they aren't going to play one hour opening sets as usual. They are just going to join the band on stage for a couple of songs/covers.

No, I am going when they come to Canada. I haven't renewed my passport since my honeymoon...8 years ago! I wish I could meet up with you! :)

ADD: Wait, I was having a brain toot...PJ20 is in Alpine Valley...I have seen on Facebook that the possible date for PJ20 is the Labour Day Weekend. I could possibly get myself together by then to go to PJ20...very possible...

EDIT: To my disappointment that is not the date...someone just put it as the date in an event page they made for PJ20...However, it if is in the fall for real, I could still possibly make it...

I've heard rumour that it's Labour Day weekend...hope this helps...we'll find out this week...

No, I like those possible opening acts. If PJ plays more than just a festival type set, then I'm in. I hope you're right. :)

Since I need to work 3 jobs , the odds of me being home are slim  . Hoping wifey will be able to order tickets. If not, I'll need a little help from my friends 8-) .

anyone from Toronto area plan on going to PJ20? seems like a very long drive or an expensive flight. I hope the opening bands arent that great, so it will make my decision so much easier of just doing a few cdn shows.

  • Glad to finally see there is an announcement coming. However, sounds like it's Alpine for sure which means I'm out. Hope everyone else has a blast. I guess on the bright side I will be saving a ton of money this summer.
