I don't care if THIS quote wasn't said by MLK, no, I don't. it's beautiful no matter who said it.
yeah, that's a real "wow just wow" moment, drama queen.
Yeah it doesn't who said it but the fact that it resonated with how people felt is what matters. That is why is was reposted all over the net.0 -

You haven't heard that people from nyc have authority on how to respond to anything connected to 9/11?0 -

I will not celebrate the death or harming of anyone but I can understand why many are jubilated or invigorated by these events. I think it is important to examine our own feelings and decide if we are joyous for feeling closure, relief, etc. or prideful vengeance. However, if it is the latter, we are no better than those that attempt to exact "vengeance" upon us, whether it is deserved or not."First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win ."

you judged me cause i didn't like a quote by MLK which turned out to be fake. am i not allowed to dislike a quote by someone or do i have to kiss their ass at every quote they've ever made just cause of who they are? my answer to where i was from wasn't meant for you, so i don't get really why you felt the need to mention your from the peg, but cool for you in being from the peg.Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight

I didn't judge you. I was shocked that someone could dislike it, and I called you out asking you why. you responded with what I felt was hostility and immaturity.
kissing someone's ass? I SAID REPEATEDLY IT DIDN'T MATTER WHO SAID IT (which you in turn tried to twist that and insult me for), it was the message that is important.
ok, from now on I'll only post when posted to. is that the new rule? gimme a break. :roll:Gimli 1993

well i felt hostility when you attacked me for disliking a quote. i guess i should like every quote that everyone else does and be a sheep like the millions and millions of people who posted it.
i don't know what your problem is with me? did i make fun of you years ago or be a dick to you years ago? you seem to have an out for me today or something
it does make alot sense to answer a question that someone was asking where i'm from, doesn't it?Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight

Mets fan,
well man he did declare war on the US and he got a war and died, he asked for it in my opinion I mean what did he think was going to happen ? he went way beyond the crimes that merit a court hearing.
you're from NY were you there during the 9/11 attack ? if so you will get no argument from me at all just out of respect for your experience there.
BTW great quote, one of my favorite movies.

So if you look in the media or hear all the different pundits spinning their wheels, even on this forum, I find it rather ironic that as much as people "celebrate" this death, it doesn't unify us, in fact, people are more apt to reiterate their beliefs because of it. Reps and Conservs are patting Bush and others for their long steady efforts. Dems and Liberals are patting Obama on the back for getting it done. Yet very little talk about the future of our nation's safety and security. As a whole, this is just another partisan talking point. Just as easily as people have forgotten and not learned anything from 9-11 and what brought it to our door, is just as easily forgotten in as we fall back to our polarized and silly partisan ways to further devolve as a nation and society. But the money train keeps on rolling...we're just here to flip to bill.CONservative governMENt
Our government is the potent, the omnipresent teacher. For good or for ill, it teaches the whole people by its example. Crime is contagious. If the government becomes a law-breaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy. - Louis Brandeis0 -

I have no issue with you. I didn't attack you. I asked you a simple question and you got all huffy and it went from there. let it go.Gimli 1993
