What if it was your daughter? would your opinion change? The problem is that he will get a fair trial, his lawyers will say that he is a victim of society and will be back out on the streets in less than a year. Lets hope he doesn't move in next door to you.

Here here, at last someone that agrees with me!

To the others who are all for a fair trial and a 'civilized' approach to dealing with this sick f***......

Did that poor girl (who will now no doubt suffer mentally for years from this crime) get the chance to receive a fair trial before she was sexually assaulted and had her life turned upside down?

If he did that to anyone in my family I would hunt him down and kill him before he gets the chance to go to court.
In court he will say he suffers schizophrenia/depression/anxiety, had an alcoholic father, broke up with his girlfriend bla bla bla and get a lenient sentence, our judges are weak here in Australia.

What if it was your daughter, sister, niece, cousin?
Would you be claiming give the guy a chance?
    Would you be so calm?
I don't care what year it is dimitris, a crime is a crime.

Gee why do I even bother on AMT

So how do you guys decide who gets a fair trial and who does not? What are the criteria?

    To know1,

The only one sick in the head here is you with your views, put the joint down and come down to the real world.
Don't you dare call me sick in the head.
    :lol::lol:
This post is hilarious on so many levels

first, how can you get pissed about someone insulting you....then throw the same insult back at the person, while telling him not to do it again? Is this kindergarten? I know you are, but what am I?
....kinda like being so mad at a rapist that you wish repeated rape upon them...
    Are we blind yet?

And telling know1 to put the joint down...that's just...funny to me.

The accused is innocent until proven guilty.
Calling the accused 'things',esp in the context of a thread advocating a judge/jury/executioner system, is rationalizing ciminal behaviour - a criteria of anti-social / psychopathic / sociopathic behaviour.
    Other criteria for diagnosis include:
-failure to conform to social norms
    -impulsivity
    -irritability/aggression
    -reckless disregard for safety
-lack of remorse for having hurt others

Do I need to point out how each applies to someone who advocates vigilante justice?
I won't bother, tho...why? Because almost without fail, statements from wanna-be vigilantes are so much macho posturing.

I too was very disappointed at first about this thread but I've changed my mind as the vast majority of us see the importance of the right to a fair trial for all that are accused, no matter how heinous the crime they are charged with.

uderstand but we need to see the bigger picture..to build our societies in justice and not in personal feelings..
in this case is hate for this bad person..
this guy looks guilty, but i work in Airforce,so police must arrest him ,find evidence, not me .judges put him in trial and give the fair penalty, not me

This thread wasn't created with any intellectual argument or foresight into the greater effect this kind of 'justice' will have on a society over time. It was created in anger, raw emotions and plain simple black and white 'you did me harm, i'll do you harm' mentality. Unfortunatley there still remains nations that adopt this kind of mentality and none of them create a climate that I want to live in. If we adopt this way we only take a step towards these scum ourselves as individuals and as a society. They may not deserve what we give them but it is what seperates us from these people and to do the reverse will only slip us back into a darker time. People of the world fought long and hard for the right to a fair trial it is a shame some people are willing to throw it away without much rational reasoning.

As I said before, the judicial system does need to move from protecting the accused to protecting the victim and there are far too many crinimals of hideous crimes getting ridiculous light sentances. We need tougher punishment for sure and what that punishment is is up for debate but not throwing away our right to make sure the accused IS guilty. Enough innocent lives are ruined by crinimals as it is we don't need harsh justice inflicted on innocent people because we bypass a trial. It's just a downward spiral if we do.

i have been an mma fighter for nearly 4 years, so yeah i like mma.

this is a poor poor analogy because mma is not wishing violence on someone, or finding pleasure in the suffering of a fighter. it is about neutralizing your opponent, gaining advantage and making them quit via knockout or submission. your opponent is trying to do the same thing to you. that is nowhere near the same as sociopathic behavior. a few fans that like it may be sociopaths, but mma is a fighting discipline just like karate or wrestling tournaments..the people that say it is sociopathic have never been wrestlers in high school or have never taken any sort of fighting discipline like karate, jiu jitsu, boxing, or anything else. your analogy is the same thing as john mccain, who clearly has no idea about mma, calling mma "human cockfighting". that is a very ignorant opinion on something he knows nothing about...if it were human cockfighting or a sociopathic activity it would never ever be sanctioned anywhere in the united states..
