Kicking it as an 8 year old in the 3rd grade. Props to Mr. Hunsberger. Killing it in farm league baseball, basketball, and soccer.

    Musical tastes in 1991:

    MC Hammer
    Vanilla Ice
    Naughty by Nature
    Kris Kross
    Boyz II Men

It wasn't until about '94 that I got into PJ.

I was in a bunch of weddings. Here is a pic from one of them. I'm the girl seated in the front center, on the stached guy's lap, with a drink in my hand. :D

I was twelve. The wall in Berlin had just come down and I started to get accustomed to the glitzy new world :)

About one and a half year later puberty had really kicked in and I discovered Pearl Jam 8-)

I was driving a bright red Toyota Corolla SR5 and living on Cape Cod.

NO, it was NOT 1981, it may have been '88 or '89 but close enough. The pic was just to give peeps an idea of who I am. Altough, if you really want to know what I was up to in 1991...April 30th to be exact...that is when I underwent an oophorectomy at MSKCC for ovarian cancer. I was trying to keep my post positive, but thanks for pointing that out!

I would say that is a positive post. 20 years later and still rockin' the PJ. Many people wouldnt be able to say the same. So enjoy life and keep on rockin in the free world :D

Please don't take offense to my '81 joke... I would say rocking for 20 years is pretty positive, too! :)

Me too. Hearing my brother pop in the Ten cassette and play Alive on his kick ass stereo was a true life changing moment. I went and bought the cassette the next day for myself and have spent unknown amounts on Pearl Jam stuff since that day (every dollar well spent).
I remember seeing that address for the 10 Club on the cassette fold-out a year or so later (maybe even longer) and mailing in my info...receiving that first letter was so fucking awesome. If the correct people are reading this and want to give me back my original 10 Club number...feel free...I won't mind. :D

15 years old; year 10 at Xavier High School. I remember watching Rage (music show in Australia) one morning, and hearing this 'strange' sound that was like nothing i'd ever heard. It was the start of getting very interested in this new band: Pearl Jam.

I was in sixth grade in October 1990 when they played their first show. I was a quiet seventh grader when their first album hit the charts. I don't think I remember hearing them until summer 1992 with Jeremy and then had the VCR set to record their appearance with Neil Young on the 1993 Video Music Awards.

Then they kind of fell out of sight and out of mind for whatever reason until I re-discovered them in 1998 and heard someone play Yield at the college radio station. I caught up by taking out the CDs of "No Code, VS, Vitalogy" and recording them on to audio cassettes. This was in 1998.

Again they fell out of sight after college because I took a full-time job that had overnight hours. I did manage to go to the 2003 show that was on the DVD but that's about it.

A year later, the company moved and I didn't follow, while staying on with them in another capacity. I had more time on my hands between working normal hours some of the time, having time between jobs and the fact that covering games was not as grueling on me physically, thus more time to listen to music. It was at that time I joined the 10 club and made the transition from part-time to full-time fan, which is kind of ironic because for the most part since that time, I've been trying to make the transition in my work life and have had hit and miss results in that span.

I was a sophomore at Penn State. I was playing wiffleball, drinking beer, and listening to music. My buddy says, somethings along the lines, "check this out" and I haven't stopped.

I was just out of college, working, smoking, drinking and sleeping around (and not necessarily in that order). Discovered Pearl Jam in late '91 and was fully hooked on the band in '92. In honor of my newfound love, I got my first tattoo (the stickman on my ankle).
