In the spirit of being fair and balanced... :D

I think many in this forum could take a lesson on how to "debate politely" and "respectfully disagree" around here with an even-keel...myself most surely included. I must say that i understand i am in a huge minority in this forum and others associated with the band. That said, I am pretty sure I will be supporting whoever has a chance to beat Obama. It's going to be a long hard fight and I may even take a leave of absebnce from my career to get the GOOD word out. :D As of right now....TRUMP 2012

looking through the window of a party... from outside.
To fault a man who had successful, hard working father who provided opportunity to his children, is weak and baseless. You must be one of those people who says "jail the ceo's"

Trump makes or loses Obamas net worth in a volatile day. The two can't be compared. He clearly took it to the next level.
You are a winner hater my friend. I presume it's because the party looks nice but you weren't invited.

Spent time with two friends from Germany today who are here on "holiday". Good to get a European perspective on things. They say this is an amazing and beautiful country but are puzzled by our weird politics. Yes, guys, ain't it so.

My theories regarding both Palin and Trump:

    1. They are both very needy in terms of getting attention, or
    2. They both secretly want Obama to get re-elected and are thus trying to split the Republican Party to insure his re-election, or
    3. They each think that working by themselves they can gain the Republican nomination thus insuring Obama’s re-election, or
    4. They are both dumb enough to believe they can get elected president.

My theory regarding the current GOP:
    Clueless

I wish the Right would think out of the box. But their way is TRUMP, Palin and Bachmann.

    i was just thinking...

what is it with the gop and their fascination of supporting celebrities who run for higher office?
reagan, eastwood, the governator, fred thompson, trump, etc...

    i just don't get it.

remember when thompson dove into the race in 2008 and he was leading in the polls? that didn't last too long, as will be the case with trump..

Not only that, but remember the "World's Biggest Celebrity" ad they used against Obama? So stupid.

Here's something else, today Trump said that the comments aimed at him were "inappropriate". Coming from the guy who just had a Comedy Central Roast in his honor maybe two months ago. Nothing about those comments being inappropriate. Has he never been/seen the WHCD? What did he expect?

it just speaks volumes about who he is as a man. he can't take a joke, and he takes himself way too seriously. and he has a very thin skin. none of those qualities make him a viable candidate. people who are supporting trump need to pay very close attention to how he conducts himself in the next few days, and ask themselves if this is really the kind of man they want in the oval office. because if today is any indication of how he is going to act, he has a lot of growing up to do..... after everything with the birther stuff he has been talking about the last few weeks he had to have known he was going to be picked on by obama and others in attendance.

    This is a joke.

In a release called “Shame on You, Mr. Trump,” the Memphis-based Stuttering Foundation is lambasting possible presidential hopeful Donald Trump this morning for making fun of SNL comedian Seth Meyers. Trump said Meyers stuttered during his performance Saturday night at the WHCD.

Jane Fraser, president of the Stuttering Foundation, responds to Trump’s comments on Meyers:

“Shame on you, Mr. Trump! We at the Stuttering Foundation find it discouraging that in 2011, Donald Trump has chosen to use the word ‘stutterer’ in a derogatory fashion, something to be made fun of, to describe Seth Meyers’ speech at the annual White House Correspondents’ dinner. In light of The King’s Speech and the new awareness it has brought to stuttering, we had hoped that this kind of unfortunate comment was a thing of the past. When in doubt about the eloquence of those who stutter, Trump should take a look at Winston Churchill, King George VI, and James Earl Jones.”

He did. He demanded it from Gary Busey, who later asked a fire hydrant for directions to the nearest KFC.
