was on mikes side second row, gave me a sticker and I caught a pic
Oh that is TOO FUNNY!!! As I recall, you and I were checking out the floor for scattered pics!
Apologies for singing, off key, to just about every song. Such a great night.
And you, sir, are a true gentleman!
And I think I was standing right next to you!

By the way: If the person who butted in front of the girls in front of me is on this board: explain yourself. You know who you are. You asked to stand in front of them during the opening act's last song, saying you would move back after he was done, but then proceeded to stand there for the Tres Mts set. You got there late and had to pull an entitled fanboi move by cutting in front of people who had been waiting there patiently. I don't care that you said you took part in some fundraising pre-show meet ups from time to time: that was a completely classless act and you should be ashamed. You had no right to cut in front of people. You are no more a fan than anyone else, and you did not deserve to be in that spot. You weaseled into it, and you know it. Everyone else was being real chill and you had to go and pull this (after bumping into me pretty hard a few minutes previously and not even acknowledging me).
Stay classy, buddy.

So great meeting people at the show and hope to see everyone again!

if they pulled this ish then they won't be man enough to respond ... or if they do they'll explain how it's tough shit
i got into the venue late and gladly took my place 4 people back to the side of where mike was
sucks that this person threw around the wishlist foundation as well ... at least i'm assuming that's what they meant by preshow fundraising

It took all of my self control not to tap him on the shoulder and let him know what a douche he was being.
"I got here late and the good spots are taken but I am a bigger fan than everyone else and deserve to be closer"
Get a life, buddy.
yeah i try not to get invloved in other peoples diarrea... probably was there hoping to get evenflow
someone kept leaning into me during one of the songs... and i'm trying to let it go... seemed like he just wanted a better view of mike... then finally i was about to step back and say "here you can have the fckin spot"... i look over and it's a long time PJ friend ... who is looking at me and laughing
What a show! I've been to 9 PJ shows but all with assigned seat so to get to high five Mike, get a couple of picks and just see him play guitar inches away from my face was too much to handle. The energy from the band was great and I loved Paradise Rock Club. Best experience of my life...still digesting it all.
Obviously biased on this one but Tres Mts must be one of the best side projects in PJ's catalog.
One thing that I was not ready for that I need to get out immediately ... all the love that was given to La Grange and Fire ... not ONE PERSON mentioned how absolutely stunning the Roxy Music cover of Every Dream Home a Heartache was ...
Mike on keys to start the song, then coming out to shread ... Doug HOWLING .... really??? not one person talking about this????
I confess that I hadn't heard this song before hearing Tres Mts's awesome cover of it. Was totally psyched to see them perform it and they did not disappoint.
Well done sir!!!! Everyone, come listen to how good this is! This was better than the DC version.
IT'S A SONG ABOUT A BLOW UP DOLL ... c'mon. Mike KILLS. Doug KILLS. Good lord.
I'm about 15 feet to your left, completely losing my shit. Glad that wasn't caught on camera.
You even got the Sharpee created "Tres Mtns" sign in the backgorund on the curtain, I really hope someone asked and got that after the show. C'mon, one of you nerds fess up to this!
A good cover of a favourite song of mine from way back. I saw Roxy Music do it in 1980 and was surprised at the time that they performed a long song from about 3 albums back. It is brilliant that the guys even know that it exists, let alone decide to do it in a show.
I always figured the song was about the emptiness and futility of the consumer society. The blow up doll is part of that emptiness. The Tres Mts version misses out a large chunk of the lyrics (in red below) - probably to get to the important part a bit quicker
In every dream home a heartache
And every step I take
Takes me further from heaven
Is there a heaven?
I`d like to think so
Standards of living
They're rising daily
But home oh sweet home
It's only a saying
From bell push to faucet
In smart town apartment
The cottage is pretty
The main house a palace
Penthouse perfection
But what goes on
What to do there
Better pray there
Open plan living
Bungalow ranch style
All of its comforts
Seem so essential
I bought you mail order
My plain wrapper baby
Your skin is like vinyl
The perfect companion
You float in my new pool
Deluxe and delightful
Inflatable doll
My role is to serve you
Disposable darling
Can't throw you away now
Immortal and life size
My breath is inside you
I'll dress you up daily
And keep you till death sighs
Inflatable doll
Lover ungrateful
I blew up your body...
But you blew my mind

I was like 2 inches from him at some points. It was incredible. I don't know if anything could ever compare to having one of your favorite musicians play inches from your face. Awesome show. Definitely worth showing up early and standing around waiting to be that close.
