Great show. When Jeff Ament is the least engaging member of a band, you know it was awesome. I'm gonna agree that Mike stole the show, but the lead singer and drummer both put up excellent fights. The crowd was pretty into it too. I was about 5 rows back right in front of Mike, but wasn't lucky enough to snag any of the stuff he threw. But whatever, it was well worth the 20 bucks.

Prior to the show, I hadn't heard a single Tres Mts song, but everything I heard last night was amazing. I'm a little bummed that I keep reading that they don't sound nearly as good on their album.

GREAT show last night. Was maybe 3 feet from Jeff all night. They pulled it off WAY better than I thought they would. Based on the CD I thought the shows would be much more tribal and subdued but they really energized the place and kept it up all night.

I asked in another thread - I talked with a guy before the show about Seinfeld and some other stuff. Any chance that person is here (I'm guessing yes)? I remember him being a rabid anti-dentite...

The album is good, worth having, but it takes the next step live.

Agreed. The show itself was pure fire. I was not expecting it at all.

I thought I remembered what you looked like from having met you before the PJ show last year, but I couldn't pick you out. I was at T's with my buddy (non board member). We were sitting near the huge screen TV, kind of of in the corner just keeping to ourselves. I wasn't sure who was who, but I figured a bunch of you were scattered about.

I was up by the bar. We (as a collective) should have been a touch more organized in arranging to have everybody hook up. Would have liked to have chatted with you again, we'll do it before EV in June hopefully.

I had an amazing time last night. Tres Mts. KICKED ASS! I feel so lucky to have seen this band live. I ended up getting the 2nd row right in front of Jeff. He was so close I could have touched him...but I didn't.

I got a Tres Mts. sticker from Mike! And a fellow 10 Club member gave me one of Mike's picks that was thrown into the audience. :D Dug shook my hand during one of the songs.

I didn't get to meet Mike or Jeff but it was an amazing night anyways.

    Thanks guys!!!

See you all the Ed shows in June...

As everybody else has said, the show was awesome. It was my first time hearing any of the stuff as well as my first time at the Paradise, so I had no idea what to expect.
Had a recital beforehand, so I had to rush to get there, but I walked in right at 9:15 and secured a spot to the center side of the pole in front of Mike, by far the closest I've ever been to any of the PJ guys, so it was all the more awesome.
The music was very cool. Much heavier than I expected which is fine by me, and hearing all of Mike's guitar work out of his amp all night rather than the PA was really cool. Everybody on that stage had so much energy, that it just brought the show to a whole different level.

After the show I waited out front. Met Doug and waited for a while for Mike and Jeff, but they drove past in an Enterprise van and honked at all of us, so i split.
It was definitely a great time and I'd recommend catching them if you get the chance

What a great day! Got to meet the whole band before the show and they signed which was cool. Even cooler was the fact Jeff wasn't signing any PJ stuff which I though was awesome. He's on tour for Tres Mts so I thought him doing that kept the focus on the right thing.

Jeff, Dug and Richard are solid guys super chill super nice and Mike is the man as always. As for the show, nothing short of spectacular! The album is awesome but hearing it live was on a whole other level. I was right up front pressed up against the stage between Mike and Dug - absolutely sick! During she's my new song mike gave me a high five which he slipped me a guitar pick - insane! At the end of the show Dug gave me his pick and Richard gave me a drum stick. At the end of the show Dug was around and he initialed my pick and Richard was also around and signed my drum stick - sick! I was able to snag a set list as well.

The poster and shirt are awesome! This was my first time meeting Jeff and I must say he's cool - no surprise I guess but you never know the mood of a person at a particular time so you never know how the interaction will be but like I said he was cool. This also was my 1 year wedding anniversary so this was truly an amazing night - really and amazing weekend QOTSA &Tres Mts back to back nights - life is good!

    Oh Dude!
  • I really need to get more involved in this! Been a fan club member since 1995 and always see the same faces at shows but yet never meet anyone! I suck!

In any event, the show was amazing last night, met Dug in the lounge before the show. I was just sitting there and saw him walk by, yelled his name in excitement, and he came right over, took a picture with me and chatted for a bit about it being the last show and how much fun he's had. Great guy.

I ended up on the balcony near Mike's side, right in front. At one point he waved to me, and posed for a picture for me when he saw me on the stairs taking it. I can't believe not only is he an amazing player, but so great with the fans - he makes me realize why I fell in love with PJ in the first place - to think of how different he was back then!

And that pole does suck - I barely saw Richard all night! I was a bit surprised that Jeff wasn't as interactive as I thought he would be, he is my fave PJ member but it seemed like he stepped back and let the other guys take over while he sat back and had fun, which was great don't get me wrong! Certainly my favorite side project from the PJ guys so far!

He acted almost exactly like Stone did when Brad played The Paradise several years ago. Kind of avoided the spotlight and let the rest of the band ham it up.

Very nice! It really was a great show, having seen most of the bands each member of Tres Mts was involved with I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was amazing for sure. Agree that Tres Mts live is a whole different level than the album.
