... I am not in the business of being liked anymore ...
I would've loved to hear Eddie sing Ripple (Grateful Dead) during his solo tour. PJ should add a Springsteen song too - Living Proof would be one off the beaten track.
Yep....and speaking to the Dead stuff..."I lit out of Reno, I was trailed by twenty..."
But I'm not selfish that way..I want to hear them sing the songs they want to play...so much more real.
Ok, maybe I'm selfish that way...muhaha
The Rolling Stones' Street Fightin' Man, Bob Dylan's Maggie's Farm and Bruce Springsteen's The Ghost Of Tom Joad. djklambake mentioned Tom Waits' Hoist That Rag. Please please please....

That's a brilliant choice! Wow! :!:
I'd love to hear them do 'non-alignment pact' too.
My top pick would be 'chest fever' by The Band. Boom with a monsterous organ intro and solo and I think it would suit Ed's voice really well. Would be a show stopper.
Either
"The Mercy Seat" - Nick Cave and the bad seeds.
And the mercy seat is waiting
And I think my head is burning
And in a way I'm yearning
To be done with all this measuring of truth.
An eye for an eye
And a tooth for a tooth
And anyway I told the truth
And I'm not afraid to die.

I didn't care at all for their version of Pink Floyd s Mother, at least the Fallon version (haven't heard the live concert version yet). Ed sounded very uncomfortable and hesitant; the only saving grace was Mike. but I was listening to Floyd the other day, Obscured By Clouds (One of my favorites of theirs), and I thought PJ would absolutely nail "The Gold Its In The..." The vocal style is really suited to Ed, and Mike would wail all over the place...
