    Listened to the back end of 10.5.1996 a nice audience tape, you generally lose Jeff in a lot of the audience recordings which is unfortunate, but there is good guitar audible and Jack is crisp. 
    His eminence has yet to show.

    Brasilia 15 - that setlist is monster. Band is fire. Better than the first time I listened to it. How many shows can you say that for? Now I'm listening to Telluride - special show, wish I could've been there.

    Memphis 2000. It has kind of a darker/mid tempo kinda feel to the set flow for most of the gig. Footsteps being the next to last song even illustrates that, plus a great take on Tremor Christ early in the set too.

    Sacramento 2000, a fitting show for a cold day here in Virginia. Absolutely incredible boot. Heavy on the rockers due to the weather that night, it’s a lively boot. Like Indianapolis, it’s another superb sleeper from the tour. The setlist is arranged very differently and yet flows perfectly.

    Dallas 2000. Not many rarities but a potent flowing setlist, with lots of energy too in the performance. Dimi loves this boot, if memory serves correctly. Plus it’s got Killer versions of NAIS and Rival. The ending of the main set....

    Montreal 2000. Despite many technological/equipment issues Stone had early and mid set, it’s a good showing. The energy is definitely strong being first show of third leg. Ed sounds great, boot crisp and clean.

It's January 20th 2001 that George Bush took office... Gas was 1.46$ a gallon when George Bush took office... Now it's above 4$... When I wrote the song, I think it was 2.50$...     There was some good people of Chicago that were out protesting something called BP Amoco... Because they were dumping a lot of chemicals in Lake Michigan... The Lake is big, but it can't handle some of the stuff they're doing and they've asked people to boycott BP Amoco... I think when you hear these things then you just pass them along, and that's what I'm doing now... So, BP Amoco try to hear them in the pocket book and they'll take care of what you have and it's still beautiful next to the city here in the form of Lake Michigan... ~ Eddie Vedder
