Six years ago, I was given this jersey from a friend of mine... His name is Ross Knight... He plays for the Cosmic Psychos... He's a great man... He knows how to ride a bulldozer like nobody else... And he gave me this jersey about six years ago... I've been carrying it ever since... I don't have any affinity towards any teams, but it's just a beautifully made jersey... And Ross is here tonight... We want to dedicate this one to our other drinking partner who has to be back home... His name is Matt Lukin from Mudhoney... I was thinking if I'm in a car driving here all it is, is flooding memories... It's like watching an old VHS tape on fast forward of evertyhing that we've been through... Up on the hill I see this little thing called "Thrifty Gas"... It's called something different now, but the buiding is still there and is still a gas station... It was "Thrifty Gas" but it was actually "Thrifty Gas & Grass" cause we knew the guys that'd sell us bags with the pot... Everything from like your first job, your first car, your first car crash soon after... The paper came and it's the San Diego Union-Tribune... U-T... I've no idea what you're talking about... The byline like right where the date is, right?... It says: The world's greatest country... America's finest city... Where did your humility go?... What the fuck?... Don't make me remind you about the name of your football team and the name of your baseball team... I love both fucking teams... I'm also a Cub fan... So, fuck that... OK, you gave us Ron Burgundy but OK that's enough... Back to the job at hand, I would mention... I was living in Seattle but my memory of this song, the memory that I was trying to draw from was actually taking, I believe, the 163 from Miramar Road down towards the Dawson...
