Katowice 1 2000. I gotta say this one is way often too overlooked because of night 2. I’ve listened to almost all of the Euro 00 tour recently and this one stands out for pure raw energy. There’s times it sounds like they are about to explode. That version of Present Tense was lit, MFC!

Krakow 2018

Spending a (hopefully!) COVID-avoiding day by finally delving into this purchase from from last fall’s Cyber Monday sale, and I’m happy to report that it makes for mighty good, socially distancing company on a gray Chicago day. The band is in top form (Mike in particular is especially fine throughout) and they tackle a pretty wide ranging set list. If I’m not mistaken every album is represented here. 

Great to see no less than 4 songs from the too often neglected Riot Act in the set. “Green Disease” is terrific, but “All Or None” is the big RA knockout tonight. A truly amazing version. It’s followed in the first encore by an equally great “Footsteps”. Other big standouts are “In Hiding”, “Garden”, “Other Side” (and not just because of the rarity factor), “Severed Hand” and “Comfortably Numb”. 

I must confess that I haven’t been too blown away by most of the “Porch”s I’ve heard the last couple of tours, whether in person or on boots (not that I’ve heard a ton of them, but still…). For me they’ve generally ranged from “fair” to “very good”, but they light this one up big time. 

This is just a really energetic, consistently well-played show. Hell, I even enjoyed sitting through “Even Flow” and “Alive” for the umpteenth time! As always, YMMV, but I’d recommend checking this one out if you haven’t heard it. And it might be worth a re-listen if you have. Great stuff.

I agree on the Verona, that and the Stockholm 2000 were the first two official bootlegs I ever bought, and both hold a special place in my heart.
