I always find that kind of comment weird and a bit off the cuff. Wouldn't it be better to say what part you 'disagree' on or give reasons on what you enjoyed?nicknyr15 said:

It's so nice to hear Release open a show. It's just right. Some things are meant to be and one of those things is Release opening. Here it sounds fantastic - maybe because it doesn't happen all that often in the last 2 years. Though it does seem to end slightly early. Oceans follows but I have to be honest and say this song doesn't grab me too much. Nothingman is the last of low tempo opening trilogy. Go starts the high tempo section off. As Ed's vocals come into Mind Your Manners, it's played way too fast for him to keep him. Overall, they play this too fast - as if they are in a rush to finish it. There's a few mistakes, making it the worst play of the song so far this tour. They then tease 20 seconds of "I Wanna Be Your Dog" before going into Corduroy. It's not the smoothest transition or flow but I'd really like them to cover that song in full. What they did play sounded cool. Following Even Flow, Ed talks about "the great Jack White" and his band lost a member in Ikey Owens in the last few days; Light Years is played in dedication. It's a really energetic version of Light Years. Got Some, Dissident and Black Red Yellow isn't the greatest set flow you'll ever see but BRY is without doubt the highlight here. Really groovy and an extended instrumental section too for it's first appearance in 4 years. The classic combo of Lukin/Not For You is back. I always love those songs together. After Once, Ed sees a sign saying how many days it's been since they played Get Right. He talks about it a little but says they can't remember it so that's why they don't play it! They close the main set with Rearviewmirror.
Man Of The Hour opens the first encore with Imagine to follow. Comatose and State Of Love And Trust provide some energy to the encore, though I didn't feel SOLAT felt as strong as usual. It's left to Betterman (surprisingly not Porch) to close the encore.
Evolution kicks off the second encore. Following the Wasted Reprise/Life Wasted segment, the guys toy with the intro to Kiss' "Detroit Rock City" ahead of Spin The Black Circle. After Alive, it's 2 covers in the form of Kick Out The Jams and then Baba O'Riley. For the first time in 4 shows, Yellow Ledbetter doesn't close; it's the turn of Indifference. Unfortunately Ed forgets lyrics in the first 2 verses.
A boot that opens with Release and closes with Indifference has to be awesome, right? I don't know what happened but somewhere in the main set this didn't connect with me and continued through the encores. It wasn't bad by any means I must stress that, I just enjoyed other boots from this tour more. Highlights though were Release, that I Wanna Be Your Dog tease, Light Years and Black Red Yellow.
Sometimes I wish there was more description in this thread, what people enjoy or not enjoy when listening to a boot. At the end of the day, it's only one persons opinion on what they've heard but it's nice to see what people's thoughts are when they are listening to boots.

Since at the end of the day it's opinion, not fact, I'd rather not go back and forth and pick apart the review. I disagree on the whole. I enjoyed the entire boot from start to finish. No big deal. Someone who doesn't enjoy Oceans couldn't appreciate the insane opening as much as someone who does and so on.boyo79 said:

I own the Charlottesville cd bootleg and mine is fine, it plays fine and all the songs are the correct ones. I think you will have to contact nugs. They should be understanding because it takes a while to listen to every boot when you buy a box set, there obviously has been some kind of mix up.BLACK35 said:

"Good evening. Welcome to the last night of the tour. Glad you can make it" says Ed to the crowd before the opening notes of Release begin. What a way to start the last show. The intro to Low Light sounds a little off to my ears. I thought Small Town was a little weak as well, definitely my least favourite of it played this tour. Unbelieveably, Last Exit is played for only the second time this tour. Coupled with Why Go, it's a solid combo. Vocally, Ed is stretched during Lightning Bolt; it's definitely not his best performance of the song. Ed talks about forming friendships and eventually moves onto Into The Wild which leads into Setting Forth and then Leatherman; again another good combo and the latter is a solid performance of the rarity. My Father's Son is quality again, on a par with the ACL performance. Ed then does a short call-out with the crowd and Mike plays a blues-riff to which Ed sings. I think he says "Bellevue Blues". It doesn't help the flow of the set which hasn't really been there yet for me. They then kick into Even Flow. Ed tells the crowd Matt's brother is here. They play Ghost and just like in Leeds, Ed messes it up! He comes in way too early for the "The TV, she talks to me..." verse. He does it again later on after the solo section. Maybe why it gets played so little! Those opening chords of Present Tense are always magnificent. Of The Earth is an excellent surprise after the interruption that is Eruption. Of The Earth, with it's first play in over 2 years, sounds ace and the instrumental part is really good. Sirens is very good here it has to be said and the singalong at the end is always good - most of the time that's my favourite bit of Sirens! Stone is handed lead vocal duties for Don't Gimme No Lip. Lukin is awesome. The guys play basically a slow Lukin for 2 minutes with different lyrics which leads into 'normal' Lukin. Absolutely loved it. And then they go straight into Porch which ends a 21 song main set.
Opening the first encore is Future Days, which is making only it's second appearance in 2014. It's ok but I'll admit I prefer to see it not on the setlist. Also making it's only appearance of the tour is Sleight Of Hand; Ed introduces it as "one about the every day warrior". It's a nice play of the Binaural rarity with some good work by Mike. Three covers in a row follow - Imagine, Mother and Last Kiss. To the encore with Breath, Leash and Rearviewmirror is pretty cool.
When the guys come back out, Ed says it's 24 years since their first gig in Seattle. He also says Jeff and Stone have been together for 30 years and thanks both for giving the rest of the guys "the ride of their lives and taking a gamble". The encore opens (naturally) with Once. With Black and State Of Love And Trust following, early PJ is high on the menu. Wasted Reprise/Life Wasted kinda feels out of place in between Better Man and Alive. Yellow Ledbetter with Star Spangled Banner brings the tour to an end.
A good boot to end the tour. Not my favourite of the tour - Lincoln & Memphis get that nod - but good nonetheless.2000: Manchester

Got through the 2000 shows, listened to Toronto (2003-06-28), then had to backtrack again for a couple itunes purchases, Seattle 1992-01-17 and New York 1992-12-31.
Now I'm about to start the second show of the Mansfield experiment (2003-07-02, 2003-07-03, 2003-07-11), then it'll be Benaroya."The world is full of idiots and I am but one of them."
