I haven't listened to any boots for a few weeks. I just received the final bootleg CDs to complete the 2012 collection and now going to listen to the entire 2012 tour with the epic Euro leg from start to finish.
Manchester 1.
Overall, for what I feel a disjointed main set that doesn't flow the greatest, is a very solid gig and good show - a great first start to the tour and the guys are tight for the fist performance of the year. Highlights for me are Release (solid version and not a better way to start a show, let alone a tour), great performance of 1/2 Full, and a cool jam of Why Can't I Touch It going into a fantastic version of Immortality where Mike channels perfection. Really like the first encore with Black going into SOLAT into Arms Aloft. An excellent performance of Come Back in the second encore - one of my favorite PJ tunes. A rather simple start to the tour for the guys, but very tight and on point. Good boot.

It was a really good show without hitting the heights of some others maybe but it sounds great on the boot. Although this is another solid, tight show and wraps up a good two night run in Manchester to start things off for the 2012 tour, I would say I preferred the first night's show more. Very awesome high energy start to the show with the classic Go > Animal with Hail, Hail to follow. Even Ed takes note and makes a comment to the crowd after the first three songs saying all the bankers and accountants must have shown up to the show the night before because the energy of the show has already topped the night before. Other highlights included halfway through the main set the Lukin going into a great version with excellent crowd participation of Not For You and then followed by Down, which is always a treat in a set. Fantastic closing of the main set with Deep > Present Tense > Once > Save You > Betterman. The first encore was kind of ruined for me with Just Breathe being thrown in halfway through - I'm just not a big fan of it and it's overplayed. Hitchhiker being played for the first and only time thus far is an obvious highlight. Another good Manchester show, but I preferred Manchester 1 more.

Zagreb 06. Best Severed Hand ever and a great opening salvo when you add Corduroy, Hail Hail, Last Exit and WWS !! Some nice song choices in this set, In Hiding, Education, Gimme Some Truth and the Whipping > Life Wasted to close the main set is pretty awesome indeed. Best thing about this show though is encore 1, Thin Air, Thumbing My Way, All Or None, Black, Wasted Reprise, Betterman and Porch!! It doesn't get much better than this really....

Although this is another solid, tight show and wraps up a good two night run in Manchester to start things off for the 2012 tour, I would say I preferred the first night's show more. Very awesome high energy start to the show with the classic Go > Animal with Hail, Hail to follow. Even Ed takes note and makes a comment to the crowd after the first three songs saying all the bankers and accountants must have shown up to the show the night before because the energy of the show has already topped the night before. Other highlights included halfway through the main set the Lukin going into a great version with excellent crowd participation of Not For You and then followed by Down, which is always a treat in a set. Fantastic closing of the main set with Deep > Present Tense > Once > Save You > Betterman. The first encore was kind of ruined for me with Just Breathe being thrown in halfway through - I'm just not a big fan of it and it's overplayed. Hitchhiker being played for the first and only time thus far is an obvious highlight. Another good Manchester show, but I preferred Manchester 1 more.
