    Amsterdam 1 2012.

This is a good show and a great boot. Outside of the first encore, what a great set list. The show kicks off the epic Amsterdam 2012 shows with high energy and with one of the main highlights of the show with Interstellar Overdrive, Corduroy, Why Go, Given To Fly, and Brain Of J.....just awesome. A nice In Hiding thrown in the middle of the set and a great closing to the main set with Rats into a great combo of Lukin, Not For You, and then with what I thought a great combo of Better Things into Nothingman. The last two songs of the main set are meh, The Fixer and DTE. Like I said, the first encore doesn't do anything for me, but it's made up by the brilliant second encore with Smile, Green Disease, Love O'er Me, Black, RITF, and the always superb Indifference. Excellent start to the Amsterdam shows of 2012.

    Osaka '03.

    What a boot!!

Oceans kicks things off, making its 1st appearance of the tour (1 of 3 times for 2003 no less). Ghost is the 4th song before Even Flow and Grievance switch things up. Off He Goes is next and is fantastic as always followed by Wishlist. Ed tells the crowd 'making it up' before the band launch into Half Full. Once follows before we get the "Man" trilogy of Nothingman, Leatherman and Betterman. A superb Insignificance follows. I Am Mine and Thumbing My Way are clubbed together with Faithful gets its 1st airing in 2003. Porch (with Hey Ho shoutout) and Save You finish a great 20 song main set.

The 1st encore picks up with the same tempo with Breakerfall and Corduroy. After that we get a rare Thin Air followed by Small Town and a great State Of Love And Trust. To close the 1st encore All Or None also gets its 1st appearance of the tour. As expected its beautiful (even with Ed forgetting some lyrics). Ed starts the 2nd encore with a solo version of Last Kiss, really stripped back on electric guitar. He then introduces each band member before they launch into Smile, which is also getting a 1st appearance of 2003!!!

As with the Tokyo show, Alive is left til the end to close out what is a very very good show. Of the 4 Japan boots so far, this is easily the best. Great show.

    Amsterdam 2 2012.

First off, obviously a great show that has been hyped and hyped and fantastic set list made up by the fan club member Brian. Although I don't think this set list is anything ultra unique or rare, it is a brilliant. My only two complaints is the insert of Bugs and just because Release is my favorite PJ song and I can't see it anywhere else in the set besides opening, I would've interchanged Release and Wash in their spots in the set. Like I said, fantastic set list that was aimed to please and made for high energy, and it didn't disappoint.

Brilliant start to the show with Wash, Last Exit, Animal, SOLAT, Severed Hand, Corduroy, and I Got Id. The band is firing on all cylinders and can tell are on point and playing with passion to close out the epic Amsterdam shows. The energy in the crowd sounds great and it almost feels like the crowd can't believe the set list they're getting. Great version of NAIS and Dissident is always fantastic to see in the set and never disappoints. Fantastic first encore opening with Release, even though as I stated earlier, it pains me and difficult to comprehend it being anywhere other than the opener - but great nontheless. Hail Hail is solid to get the energy back going followed up by two excellent performances of Alone and Footsteps and a high-energy Reviewmirror to close the first encore. The second encore is amazing opening with a powerful performance of Crown Of Thorns where Mike absolutely shreds. Sonic Reducer and Alive set things up nicely for an excellent Baba and then Y Led to put an end to these brilliant Amsterdam shows. And once again, Mike tags Yellow Ledbetter with a Little Wing tag, which he has done the entire tour thus far.

Listening to the end of the Berlin 2 2012 boot, I just have to say a great job to the person in charge of mixing these. The bootlegs haven't sounded this fantastic since 2006 or even further back to 2003.

Also, love the HD-Flac format.

Santa Barbara 2006. Love the mellow first sets of shows like this. I had to download and give this show a listen after the Iconoclasts episode with Eddie and Laird Hamilton. Watching the band settle into the evening sundown with the audience for the first set is truly remarkable. Love listening to sets and shows like this around a campfire; other shows and early sets like this are the Gorge 2005 and Mansfield 3 2003.
