I cannot open my hard drive too. I get this message that says you need to format it first. If I choose yes, I'm about to lose thousands of pictures (including concerts). :fp: So , I gave it to a technician and wait for his answer. Hopefully, that will come on this Monday. Fingers crossed he can save all of my data.
He managed to retrieve all my data back, safe and sound.

pearljambootlegs.org does not work. every time I try to download a show, it never starts.

Yep one by one, doesn't take long though. I found last time I used pearljambootlegs.org that I had to download via Firefox instead off Chrome

Looking at the setlist, this should be my favourite of the 3 nights at Melbourne.....
For me, it takes a while for this show to kick in. Bit of a disjointed start with Small Town, followed by Instellar Overdrive and Corduroy. I always feel Instellar should either open a show or not be used at all. Show starts to kick in with Nothing As It Seems, Even Flow and I Am Mine. Not For You & Light Years are great, an excellent tag in Daughter and Half Full, Once and Blood closing out the main set is superb.
1st encore starts with Bu$hleaguer followed by a great Sleight Of Hand. Betterman, Evolution & Spin The Black Circle close out the encore. 2nd encore starts with Ed & Boom on a nice Throw Your Arms Around Me and they close with Alive and Fuckin' Up.
All in all a great show, takes til the 7th song til kick in but its great after that.

All the better for Ed's "Go Jemima Go!!" at the solo (Ed had earlier joked Mikes middle name was Jemima). But seriously, Mike's solo is amazing (and extended slightly).

Nice review Ian, it makes it much easier to choose shows when people give you a few highlights. I'm going to do Aus/Jap in one stretch I think as I haven't heard them in ages but tonight it's all about San Diego 09!! If there's ever a show to put you in a great mood it has to be this one! Ed is on killer form and full of humour all the way through. It's such a party atmosphere and the setlist is pretty damn good too!
10/09/09: San Diego State University, Viejas Arena, San Diego, California
set: Last Exit, Corduroy, Severed Hand, Brain Of J., Elderly Woman …, Amongst The Waves, Johnny Guitar, Even Flow, Unthought Known, Parachutes, Daughter/ (Blitzkrieg Bop), I Got Id, You Are, Force of Nature, Got Some, Do The Evolution, Rearviewmirror
first encore: The End, Red Mosquito, Happy Birthday to LuLu, Given To Fly, Last Kiss, The Fixer, Life Wasted
second encore: Why Go, Black, Better Man/ (Save it for Later), Little Wing, So You Want to Be a Rock and Roll Star, Alive, Yellow Ledbetter/ (The Star-Spangled Banner)
TFT Notes: During Ben Harper’s set, Ed joined for Queen’s “Under Pressure”. Ed gets the crowd going by saying “it’s Friday night, in San Diego, and we have a shitload of guitars and amps, so lets blow the f*cking roof off this place” “Black” had an extended ending with a group clap by the fans, and the “doo doo doo doo” fading out. “Happy Birthday” to LuLu Wismar who is the daughter of former PJ crew member Keith Wismar (remember “Keith, put up the house lights”, now working with Ben Harper). Ed recalls a story of a time when he held her when she was very young, and she gets to blow out the candles of her cake onstage. Matt and Ed – who both lived in the San Diego area at different points in their lives – pay homage to their music teachers by dedicating songs to them. Later, “Little Wing” is peformed with the help of Matt’s drum teacher – San Diego Symphony percussionist Jon Szanto – and Ed’s guitar teacher – Bud Whitcomb. To quote a fan: “The numerous stories that were shared by Eddie made the show more personal. The setlist was great, but instead of just a concert, it felt more like a shared experience.”

San Diego '09 was my 30th birthday - wish I'd been there! Especially with the boot being so darn good. One of my favourite 2009 boots. Lots of highlights but I think Force Of Nature on this boot really got me into that song.

That was what made me get into Force Of Nature too, I wasn't much of a fan prior to this show. My 40th birthday was the same day as Hamilton 11, we have a knack of missing great shows Ian...

We certainly do!!! If they play a show on my 40th birthday (or any) I'll definitely have to go!! I remember listening to Force Of Nature on the San Diego boot and it was one of those moments - made me sit up and take notice of the song. Mike's solo on it was class. Needs to be played more!
Melbourne III '03.
Of the 3 Melbourne shows this is my least favourite. Starts very good - the opening 5 song salvo is impressive and really gets the show going (Can't Keep, Breakerfall, Save You, Ghost & Dissident). Rival makes an appearance, which is always good as does is Whipping. An excellent Porch closes out the main set. 1st encore starts with Evolution & Know Your Rights (not really a fan of this). Breath & Footsteps are sublime - the latter really good. RVM closes out the 1st encore and the 2nd encore consists of Soon Forget (Ed didn't fuck it up!) and Yellow Ledbetter.

Pistoia 06. I love city square shows, they always feel really special and hopefully someday I'll get to see one. I love hearing RVM played this early right after Interstellar/Corduroy. Very good Mike show, Corduroy, Severed Hand, Life Wasted, Porch and 1/2 Full are all immense! Black > Crazy Mary > Alive to end the first encore is a great segment of a really good show. The five Italian shows that year are among my favourite back to back shows ever!

Was thinking i needed a good Long Road opener. Amongst the other obvious treats in this one i also love how Animal really punches. Longing for red rocks again. Will it ever happen? If it does will I convince hubby that I need to be there and no I'm not nuts? Love the reviews on the shows. Have a great day everyone!
