I mean they did say it was limited when it first came out. 2000 was even small for the time, it sold out in less than 2 days. It's possible they don't reissue it. No harm in trying though.

I doubt that would be the reason why. It would be a different color, most likely different boxing, so the original would still be limited an more valuable. Would probably lose some value, but there's enough purist nerds out there to keep with worth well more than what I'm willing to pay. This should be an easy decision to reissue it for a cash grab, Everyone wants it. Its just a matter of when.

I don't disagree, but it is possible. When they put it out, things like reissues and variants weren't really a thing. It is possible they stick to their original intent that it was a limited release.
They have pressed more copies of things that were supposed to be limited on RSD, so obviously they can 100% can change their minds and do whatever they want. Which I think gives hope to this thread.
I do expect the original would plummet in value. I bet it would go down 50 to 70% if a different version came out. It's mostly propped up by legend and scarcity. Once it's not the only way to get a copy, it'll go down a fair bit. I don't care that it would, but it would have a significant impact. Doesn't really matter to me. I'd never part with my copy and it only cost me $35 plus shipping. I suppose the one thing that would limit the dropping in value would be if the reissue was vastly inferior. That would keep the diehards clamoring for the original.

What does an opened Benny vinyl only spun once go for these days?
