    Thanks....I'll check it out

I love Nirvana and Dave Grohl but something just doesn't do it for me. A lot of the commercial FF songs just seem the same. Although I'm sure FF diehards might say the same thing about Pearl Jam. I don't recall hearing a FF song as sappy as The End or Future Days which make me want to pull my eardrums out.

They are definitely on the poppy end of rock, and I'm actually not a big fan of Sonic Highways the album and the series despite having pre-ordered multiple copies and that damn giant box! :D A lot of those songs have similar riffs to previous songs. I do admire the effort and I love Dave's passion.

The reason Back and Forth saved my Foo Fighters fandom was I thought it was very genuine and honest. And Wasting Daylight is a kick-ass album. A lot of those songs are featured in Back and Forth.

I heard that there's already around 150-200 people on line at Irving plaza already. Not sure if my wife and friend should even try at this point since they can't get there till around 1. Should of known the no line ups till 3 would never hold true.

Yeah, I have been monitoring the FF MB the past few days so see how it was going to play out...I have today off of work, but I can't get there until 2 or so. If they were adhering to the "no line before 3", I was going to give it a try, now probably not worth it. Wish they had just sold tickets on-line! We lucked out a few years ago with a Green Day show.

They have apperanlty asked the people to leave saying no line ups till 3 but no one has left. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

But if they do make them leave, there will be a couple of hundred angry people milling about, and I don't want to deal with that. I know there would be people rushing at 3PM, but add a bunch of entitled people on top of that...not for me.

Exactly, If I was trying for tickets and they didn't allow lineups, I would be essentially 'pacing' the block. This is probably the show with the biggest draw to get to since there is so many people within distance to get to it. Hell I considered it and i live in MD :))

Wristbands are now being handed out, I think I heard that only 400 tickets are available for purchase, the rest are VIPs and comp tickets for friends. Not sure how true that is, but if so that's over 600 tickets they aren't selling.

At 1:30?! This is both a good and bad thing. I would be so pissed if I 'listened' to the flyer and didn't line up til 3pm, but it's a smart plan so that there isn't a 'riot'. Maybe they will do the picking a random number in the middle thing?

Just the amount of people waiting, having to give out wristbands early, directions constantly changing. Sounds like a situation I just wouldn't want to be in!

Sounds similar to LA. They played the Roxy here which is only 500 capacity total and you could only win your way in via a handful of contests, which accounted for roughly 150 or so of capacity which made the guestlist ~350. Seems like they should have done contests only in NYC to save everyone the hassle of waiting in the cold.
