That bench looks lonely, however it fits the scenery.

Now here are a few pictures from our beach where I live in Lake Worth, Palm Beach County Florida. It's about 15 miles away which I love to ride my bicycle and ride the Lake Worth bridge one of the few uphill climbs in Florida. Below, the Lake Worth pier after Hurricane Francis in 2004.

It definitely looks modest compared to all the great pictures on this thread, but this one is my favourite for it's my childhood beach, just a five minute walk away from my house then.

I think it beautiful and through the eyes of a child I'm sure magnificent...
most especially taking the shaded walking path with the rustic fence...
then running out into the sun, through the sand, to the waters edge
    Lovely :D

When I was a kid parks looked so magical to me..rolling hills of bright green grass
swings, little duck pond. Ah, to see like a child again...

It seems that everything was bigger and peaceful .... harmless then. I guess that some places, once seen like this as a child, somehow remain this way no matter what.

I'd say we're both pretty lucky to live where we live. The PacNW is an amazing place. I miss the rain, the clouds, the smell and the light when I have to leave this area . . . So I try not to leave it too often ;)

I am counting down the days! We vacation on Vancouver Island every year. This year we go in June! We are not going to make it to the Pacific Rim side, as we have opted to head across the Juan De Fuca Strait and then down the Coast of Washington and Oregon after our week in Sooke. We could not skip a week on the Island, though. We love the beaches along the Juan de Fuca Trail. China Beach, Mystic Beach and Botanical Beach are Faves! We like Sombrio, too...but the access road is to hard on the mini van! ;)

That's awesome  We were just out at China Beach last weekend :) Your right about the roads out by Sombrio, they're horrible  We did the circle from Vic through Sooke, Port Renfrew, Lake Cowichan, Duncan and then back home. It was a great day :D

The WA and OR coastal drive is absolutely gorgeous. You'll have a great time :D
