people rave about mad men too.

Absolutely try Breaking Bad next, you wont' be disappointed! I tried to give Mad Men a try but I couldn't get into it.

For sure watch Breaking Bad! That show has reached the point where it may be above The Wire for me.

just finished season 3. phenomenal. just phenomenal.

the culver/stringer parallel was brilliantly done.

Season 3 is my favorite of the series, but I know a lot of people who think season 4 was the best.
I am the same way! Season 3 was my fav mind you followed closely by season 4.

It does seem most prefer 4 to 3 but they are all good.

Also Breaking bad is awesome maybe my second favorite show behind the wire

I'm a couple seasons behind, but I think mad men is phenomenal. I will have to check out breaking bad.

I finished season 1 this weekend. Wow. It's tough to stop watching episodes once you get into them. I was up until 2:30am Friday night watching them. I missed Omar not being in the last 3 episodes until the final scene. My favorite quote is "Omar don't scare" when Omar was asked about Avon's crew coming after him.
    Alright, alright, alright!

Welcome to the sickness. Its is hard to stop once your into the season. I had to stop after 2 or 3 episodes at a time so I did not burn through them.

finished my wire odyssey earlier this week. don't have time to thoroughly discuss it now, but i fucking loved every second of all 5 seasons. yes, i can understand why people call it the best show ever. there are so many different levels. so many layers that make this show excellent. all the pieces fit. so realistic. never skipped a beat after killing off main characters and introducing new ones. so consistent. season 5 was my least favorite but that was still very good.

i'm sad it's over though. damn it.

I'm in the middle of season 2 on demand. I watched the last four last weekend because they were about to take them off. I wasn't really in the mood to watch them, but they totally sucked me in again. I'm glad there are four new episodes to watch now.

Just came on to look for this thread

David Simon has a blog. This is pretty onpoint, even if I am guilty for everything he talks about in terms of the show.

I just finished season 2 last night. Man it's hard to find time for tv shows. I'm trying to watch this and catch up to Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad.
