but in other peoples opinions there is. what the problem here is the people who in their opinion think there is nothing wrong with it jumping down the throats of those who do. people have stated their reasons for why they think it's a bad change, people have stated why they think it's not. everyone is just saying the same shit and not listening to anyone else. which is all that ever happens round here. even the people saying try and be positive and stop whinging are themselves being negative and whinging.
this is getting way beyond a fucking joke you are not right for thinking the changes are good, others aren't right for thinking the changes are bad. if people can see value in paying double to get a shirt and boot good on them. if others also think the $20 option is bullshit well good on them and it's their right to think that, no matter how many times people say it's only 2 cents a day or a couple dollars a month ain't gonna change the way people feel.
everyone needs to get the fuck over themselves and realise that they are no better then anyone else around here.
This isn't helping anything to tell people to get the fuck over themselves. See the Posting Guidelines and follow them please.

ha, being Australian we swear alot. but it's true, everyone needs to get over themselves. no one's opinion is more valid then anyone else's or more right and wrong. that's pretty much all the last 60 or so pages come down to. the same people saying the same things over and over, from both sides.Post edited by threefish10 oncondescending and sarcastic since 19800 -

This Australian sure as hell doesn't swear much at all!!
I agree with you fishy....same crap over and over. Going nowhere. Just lock the stupid thread already. If I'd started it, it would have been locked days ago.★ 1995 - Brisbane ★ 1998 - Brisbane ★ 2003 - Brisbane ★ 2006 - Brisbane ★

i got an email from tenclub stating, "rest assured you will receive the deep magazine and holiday single for 2011."
i renewed my membership in december prior to the change even though my membership wasn't up until jan. this is my email from 10C when i asked to clarify whether or not i would receive the 2011 single.
"Your Jan 25 2010-2011 fall under the old system. Your Jan 25 2011-2012 and Jan 2012-2013 fall under the new 2011 system at the $20 level. Therefore you will get the 2010 single, but you will not get any more singles after that one.
If you want to be switched to analog let us know and we’ll combine your 2 $20 payments into 1 year ($40) of Analog membership. This will ensure you get the 2011 single. Just let us know.
Best,
10c"

To me, this is the worst thing 10C has done. The prices can be argued day and night but I don't know how anyone can justify 10C changing the terms for what was paid for. If theyu did not intend to honour their end they should have never taken payment for multi-year renewals. In the more extreme cases they have taken the money upfront, collected the interest and are now asking for more money from members in order to retain the rights to what they had already paid for. That's shameful business. My Pearl Jam Photos

if nothing else the upgrade fee should be less than $20... like $20 less the cost of the vinyl and mag... probably $10 or 150 -

yah i'm surprised i haven't seen anyone upset about this... seems sketchy as hell... i wonder what 10C's counter would be if someone actually held their feet to the fire

As a fan of this band from almost the beginning in 1990, in Phila. suburbs. I have grown to respect, appreciate and overall have been happy with the 10 Club and all of it's benefits. It does sadden me, in a sort of not way, of all the issues this has opposed to the pearl jam family.......
it just goes to show that all the capitalistic greed that alot of grunge bands were ALL AGAINST has maybe bitten the hand that feeds them, with some...
Either way I am in on anything Pearl jam does...and to the rest...NO WAY• 1991-11-17• 1998-08-28 •2000-09-01

im with you on this. they permitted multi-year renewals, and the the way the ship is run here for this board, you follow the rules as a member and agree to the 10C terms. these rules are closely monitored and enforced by the admin. if anything, the membership can be considered a contract. and we paid before the change, so we should be grandfathered into the old benefits.0 -

I'm really not fussed by this. My hubby-to-be and I are both members and currently we get TWO vinyls and TWO Deep mags. I know for a fact that I will be buying the Analogue membership and he'll buy the Digital... it works out well for us... and the way I sees it, it's a pretty standard price that amount of membership perks.Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.0 -
