No, in these cases people were bashing people who were paying the 10c a compliment, as "ass kissers" and "brown nosers." This had nothing to do with people being upset at the new membership, and solely about the people who post negative comments about other people here who say nice things about the Ten Club. They are the assholes he was referring to. He never even remotely implied that everyone are assholes, or even that everyone who is unhappy with the new membership are assholes. It was all about those who bash the ten club supporters.

I think The holiday single should atleast come out in the year it is supposed to, like i'd want to get the one for 2010 in 2010, not in mid 2011, i would consider that late, i think thats a pretty reasonable want.

2 deep issues hasn't been promised. It does come in the calendar year it's promised. Your membership has to be up to date in December to get it. The calendar year is December to December. And you always get it in that time frame. There has never been a guarantee that you get it between December 25th and January 1st.

from what i understand, thats how it works. you renewed on 9/2010 which qualifies you for the 2010 holiday single only (from 9/10 -9/11). the new membership contract is for the 2011 holiday single. so it doesn't matter who snuck in and renewed prior to the change. if you want the 2011 single you have to be an analog member.

There's a difference. It wasn't just a differing opinion. People were actually bashing all involved. If people innocently just said "I don't like the change, but will/will not go with Analog" that would be fine and totally acceptable. I'm pretty sure everyone can accept people saying that they don't like it and respect their opinion and can understand that they may not want to pay more. It went to a whole other level however. It wasn't like they forced everyone to pay $40. They were still nice enough to keep the $20 option for people who didn't want to pay more.

If $20 is going to impact someone's lifestyle, maybe they should revisit how their finances are managed and/or place priorities elsewhere.

Indeed. The point I was making earlier was that I find it hard to imagine myself being as displeased with a business as some people here are, yet still being prepared to give them my money.
