  • I am definitely there, I don't care where it is. Although Red Rocks is the place I have always hoped PJ would play. Definitely not big enough for a festival though.

If this really does happen, and it's a true 'festival' and not just a 'show', it would have to be at a humongous place. There would have to be room for everyone that wanted to be there... everyone that wanted tickets would get them. That would rule out the conventional venues as this would definitely be a high-demand show.

NOT having enough tickets would be a VERY bad PR move. A nightmare.
  • That would be awesome but you know they will not bring Dave A back and that is too bad.
    This is Not For You

I think you are slightly overestimating how many people would attend. Now if there were other bands like lollapalooza it may need more. There is soooo much open land in the midwest, I'm sure they could find somehwere. They would build the stage it's not like it has to be an existing structure.

i've got no desire to go to it even tho it's only a train ride away. i don't remember why, but i missed the 07 show.

i'm sure it's a great time, but it seems so crowded. bonnarroo had a ton of poeple as well, but it seemed like there was stilll plenty of room. i dunno. maybe i'm off base.

    I got there early...
    Staked out our spot...
10-15 friends, people from this board, showed up within the next couple hours....
    We had a great time....

Probably the best time I have had at a concert...
It was nice to sit with a group of friends....

  • OK.
Been reading too much of Jason's book.

Two buses. One from Seattle (down to LA and then east) and one from Boston (to NY, Philly, Pitt, Ohio). Pick ups along the way.

    Iggy Pop
    Patti Smith
    AND Pearl Jam

all for one low, low price in one of the most beautiful settings for a music festival in the world?

    that excites me.
    Nice shirt.

I'd rather have a tour than a 1-off festival. We all can't be at the festival.

True. Plus festival show's are the majority GA. There will be pushing & shoving, drunks & junkies all over the place. Hundreds of people charging straight from the back to the front not carry about the woman & children around them. Not everyone is a fan of festival show's.

If they play Alpine Valley, there are reserved seats, which is cool. It would be great to experience a return like this, maybe ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWoh_DUu54g
  • didn't hear the interview and unable to download it...am I correct in saying he specifically said "somewhere not in Seattle"..?
I will not lose my Faith, it's an Inside job today....
  • a destination weekend somewhere in the middle of the country.
