Rumors are flying around of a String Cheese Festival at the Rothbury Grounds. Perhaps this would be an option from Pearl Jam as well. It certainly can handle a sizeable crowd and has some tremendous attributes. Maybe it is wishful thinking for a fan from the mitten.RFK 6/13/98 -Tibetan Freedom, Pittsburgh 8/25/98, Merriweather Post 9/4/00, Grand Rapids 10/03/04 - MoveOn.org, Palace of Auburn Hills 5/22/06, Grant Park 8/05/07 - Lollapalooza, Verizon Center, DC 6/22/08, Chicago 8/22/08 - EDDIE, Baltimore 6/14/09 - EDDIE, United Center 8/23/09, Verizon Wireless 5/7/100

Though, it won't stop me from going, but trying to drive to the middle of the country, from the east coast, won't be fun if its during labor Day weekend.0 -
It's gonna be in the Northeast.
That's where all their fans are after all.0 -

It's exciting right now but keep in mind cause it may not be Alpine. Lord knows I want it to be Alpine like we all do.But in yrs past the Alpine chat and excitement has been smashed cause they end up doing something else. That feeling always sucks. Hope this is the year.

from Rolling Stone:
The Jane's Addiction frontman and Lollapalooza founder switched his annual summer festival from a traveling show to a destination weekend in Chicago's Grant Park. But he still works to assure it's beneficial to the community,

No way. What do we know? We know its a "destination weekend" that's going to be "somewhere in the middle of the country." Unless they're doing a cruise on the Great Lakes, I think its safe to say its not going to be a cruise and it'll be in the midwest.1998-06-30 Minneapolis
