    If you read the information on Wikipedia about Alpine Valley in the section about notable performers playing the venue, it states "Pearl Jam, Rush & Phish have all regarded Alpine Valley as one of their favorite venues to play. Dave Matthews has stated many times that Alpine is the band's favorite place to play". As we all know everything on Wikipedia is accurate so this must be true. :D Though I do know Dave has recorded two of his lIve Trax at this venue so the sound must be at least good.

    alpine or chicago would be reeeall cool. How many people can alpine hold? I mean, you figure that there'd be a lot of people showing up for this thing...they can sell out a solid 50,000 tix for a "festival" of sorts esp. if they get another big name act. either way, i'll go wherever it's at.

    I'm looking for pictures of Alpine Valley and I can't find any. Anybody have any? I've never been and It'd be an 11 hour drive from the Ozarks, but as much as you guys like it, sounds like it would be worth it. Maybe I'll just fly.

    What's up with the hate for camping?!?

    It's Wisconsin! There are plenty of trailers and abandoned barns to squat in for the weekend....
    We do have some class ya know. :roll:

    I was seriously looking at rental houses down in the area last week, pricing them out.... too soon?? :lol:
    With enough notice for this little event and the luck that it's actually in Sconnie, I'd say 10 of ya'll are golden with me!! :mrgreen:

    It's alot better then it used to be. Trust me IF it's at Alpine you will have a great time. :D

    Overall the sound at Alpine is good.

    The bigger its gonna be, the more likely they have a venue picked out I'd say. But I have no idea what they are planning...20000, 50000, 100,000 people (anyone know the largest crowd they've drawn all by themselves?)

    Their appearance at Bonnaroo was counted at nearly 60,000 including the people who were crowded around the stage area, cause they couldn't get in..If I remember right..maybe more.. don't know been to some HUGE shows though..

    if it's in NE, WI, or IL I'd be ecstatic, cause that's NOT too far away for a kick ass road trip from KC to there!! Got my giant ass van to camp in too!! Ohhh I'm getting all excited and happy... hurry up and give us news!!!
