Air travel is not a right. We CHOOSE to fly from here to there and back again. We can choose NOT to abide by the rules and laws set forth by air carriers and law enforcement by choosing not to fly. And it does not single out one segment of our citizens and give the rest of us a free pass.
It has just become part of the routine that comes with our choice to fly safely from L.A. to New York. You can avoid a pat down by simply passing through the scanner.
Finally... if you think someone is jacking off to a black and white image of someone standing there with arms streched out when there are hundreds or thousands of free pictures and videos of people fucking on the Internet... well... I don't even know what to say about that.

Regarding the lady who was sexually assaulted, the only reason I can see that they are admitting it was wrong was because the TSA agent failed to inform her before she was touched inappropriately, not that she was actually touched inappropriately. If you read the link I posted, it specifically says this:
"During our first conversation, the TSA acting manager of the shift told me that the TSA agent who sexually assaulted me was supposed to inform me about the new search procedure and tell me when and where she was going to touch me. He also apologized on behalf of himself and on behalf of the agent who sexually assaulted me. I was not allowed to speak to the agent who sexually assaulted me, nor did the acting manager provide me with her name. (I did not have the presence of mind to look at her nameplate, as I was in shock.)"
The acting manager apoligizes, not because she was sexually assualted, no, he apologizes because she wasn't informed prior to the assault just when and where and how she was to be assautled.
So, no, this is not obviously an extreme case. All you have to do is a quick internet search on TSA abuses and MULTIPLE cases are going to pop up. Not obviously extreme in the least.
