How Infinite Arms is making anyone's top ten is blowing my mind.......I find like three songs on that album good....the rest not so much.

I feel the same way. I've tried to listening to it twice, but couldn't get into it. I'll probably give it another couple of chances pretty soon.

  • 1. The Walkmen - Lisbon
    2. Deerhunter - Halcyon Digest

These stood out to me as my three favorite albums. Overall, I thought there were many very good albums that came out this year.

I got The National & Deerhunter CD's for my wife for Christmas. She's an Alt fan, so we'll see how it goes.

Don't forget it's 45rpm too. It seems to sound distinctively better. Not totally sure as I only got the chance to listen to the other a handful of times.

    Kanye #1 on both, huh?

Spin's was OK. Don't know about RS, tho. maybe they assigned it to the new, deaf intern.
  • Black Crows Crowology best sounding vinyl ever.
    Band of Horses Infinite Arms
Kings of Leon Come Around Sundown
    Robert Plant Band of Joy
    Elton John and Leon Russel

    Biggest disappointments
    scissor sisters night work
    The new filter record
    Broken Bells
  • Maybe it's more of a 2011 album, because it has only just now been released, but I think this one will be huge once more people hear about these guys:

The first two times I tried to listen to it I didn't care for it at all. A few months later I gave it another try and really enjoyed most of the songs.
