i listened to it earlier today. it was good, not mind blowing or anything, but nice follow up to "sigh no more". no songs really stood out for me though.

Give it a couple more listens. Pretty sure that if you liked the first album, you'll grow to love this one as well. Great stuff.
Anyone get the vinyl? If so, does it come with a digital DL? Probably no bonus tracks I'd guess...
$14 for amazon MP3 - ridiculous. Record only costs $15.

ANOTHER US DATE!!!
2nd Hollywood Bowl show added on Nov 12th!
If you didn't score tix the first time around, they are doing it again this Friday @ 10 PT!
Very cool that they listened to the fans and added this...the 10th show sold out in seconds (literally)...
There was so much complaining on their forum so they added another date = very cool.
Can't wait to see this band!
Babel has been playing non-stop since it came out and I love it more and more each day. What a magnificent effort by Mumford & Sons...Daytrotter Sessions has been enjoyable as well. Seeing these guys in 2 weeks and couldn't be more excited.
Honestly, I Will Wait, while I can't wait to see it live, has become my least fave song outta the whole batch. Maybe radio play? I dunno, but I find myself skipping it now. Ghosts That We Knew and Hopeless Wanderer I literally cannot get enough of...
Love this album and this band.
I highly recommend this to anyone who bought Sigh No More or Deluxe Companion and is on the fence if the sophomore effort could possibly be any good... It's better!!!
Hey, i'll be in Hollywood for night one as well... got a 3rd row ticket
I agree, I honestly liked "Nothing is Written" before it turned into I Will Wait... My favorite songs are "Ghosts That We Knew" "Holland Road" and "Babel"... I LOVE playing harmonica to those, no need for the horns
I must say, this album has more references to Marcus' "haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhht" than Sigh No More... the lyric "Press my nose up, to the glass around your heart" is so cheesy... Less heart talk on the next album, please!!!
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
As Ben’s latest blog attests to, Mumford & Sons have been busy over in Australia and New Zealand lately and are soon to set their sights briefly to Los Angeles for their sold out Hollywood Bowl dates, before returning homewards for a UK and Ireland tour.
However, readers in the US, we are very pleased to reveal that the band will be returning to your East Coast shores next year for some more shows. Mumford & Sons will play the following dates in February 2013:
Tuesday 5th - TD Garden, Boston MA
Wednesday 6th - Barclays Center, New York NY
Wednesday 13th - Patriot Center, Fairfax VA
Saturday 16th - Susquehanna Bank Center, Camden NJ
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."

I am beyond amped and ready to let loose at this show Saturday. I honestly cannot get enough of this band and feel extremely lucky to see them. The amount of people flipping out about not getting tickets for these 2 Hollywood Bowls shows on their fan boards rivals some of the nastiness I've seen spewed here, for real!
Ebay and scalper prices are beyond outrageous for these shows. Unreal.
I hope they are as great live as I've read, heard, seen on youtube and the like...
I am loving Babel and constantly listen to Deluxe Companion. I am so excited.
RUN, do not walk - or pass up a chance to see these guys if they come within driving distance of you!!!
Last night's show @ the Hollywood Bowl was as good of a concert of any band that I have EVER seen. (Hundreds attended in 40 yrs)
Truth. Not hyperbole. I knew these guys were good live, love the albums. The talent these gents have, the energy that emanates from their stage onto the crowd = holy shiiiiza.
Seriously. I'm a huge fan. My wife went with me (joint birthday presents) - kick ass seats @ Hollywood Bowl (what a venue)...she's not nearly as "rabid" as I ...Until last night...
From her: I cannot believe this guys voice...oh my god, you were right, I can't believe how great they are...I can't believe this energy...I want to see Pearl Jam here
The cover of With a Little Help From My Friends with the opening band (Dawes) shook the place.
WOW. Blown away this morning. There were moments - esp during The Cave, Little Lion Man and Awake My Soul that I felt I was at a PJ show with the people jumping, the energy and the cohesiveness of the band.
I hope these guys have a LONG career. They have fans for life in me and the Mrs.
Amazed...

Except for nearly freezing to death, last night was amazing. I agree with your post, the cover of With a Little Help From My Friends was out of this world. Insanely good. I kept thinking - where's The Cave, they've played every thing else in the world, where is it? Worth the wait.
And it did almost feel like a PJ show - everybody kept telling me to see them live and I'm glad I finally did. We weren't up as close, but still in box seats dead center and - wow, it's hard to make words. I loved that people stood up for the whole show.
(And I've always liked Dawes - would like to see them in a smaller venue, just them, sometime. Loved the mess up in When My Time Comes...)

I was thinking the same thing. Crazy that a bonus track is one of the best songs. Hope these guys have a huge US tour soon.

I always thought this thread was about a 70's TV show that Redd Foxx starred in.
