Ah Steve Finn, Neil's other less talented son...

Yeah, we also got another young fella Cummins, he has only played the one test, took 6 wickets in one innings. So I am looking forward to seeing him again.. I think we're coming for you poms.

I'm excited about heading to the test tomorrow... come on aussie...

Ha don't get carried away......your bowling's good but ours is better , and the batting's far better :D
Agree it could be a cracking series in England next time.

Wonder what excuses India will have when they get whopped again :!:

haha... I can't stand India as a cricket team... a pack of whingers...

I hope Lyon can bowl well... I certainly think he is our best option as a spinner, but India is a massive test for him...

I am hoping to go next Ashes series, if all goes according to plan... I really think the Aussies can do it... I always look forward to Australia vs South Africa, I mean England...

India never give anyone any credit and there fans on 'PRICINFO' are even worse, nice to see some helpful pitches makes for great cricket.

id like to know the implications if he DIDNT bowl the no balls... fucking black market, hitmen, millions of dollars involved, threats.. who knows... ask bob woolmer.. oh wait.. :(

i cant stand the bloody whinging indian supporters. i wonder what excuses and one liners the rabid one eyed delusional indian "fans" will have this week other than the usual "australia are cheating" ... "racism" ... "we have the IPL"... crap that they usually dish out.
Yeh I've seen Pearl Jam, too. But I can't remember the dates.
  • all crap about india and their supporters aside, you have to admitt their batsmen are great to watch especially when they get on a roll - provided you aren't the team trying to dismiss them

A great day of play...13 wickets 300+ runs... ricky on 40 odd not out... Wish I was going out again tomorrow...

    CLARKEY!!!!!!
    hear my name
    take a good look
    this could be the day
    hold my hand
    lie beside me
    i just need to say
  • oh look i'm too hard on him, problem I have that once I make up my mind negatively about a player i can only think of one who ever changed my mind (Haddin - but he won me over before Gillys retirement) honestly when Ponting went out I turned the TV off for a while

India's bowlers are pie chuckers

Be a rout second innings.......nice to see pointing get some runs , guys a fighter no matter what you think of him.

At least we have one Englishman on here who knows what he's talking about...

Ricky certainly is a fighter... and I was so happy for him..

Clarkey silenced the knockers for now. It was good seeing him come in at 3 for 30 odd and do that...

also the fields he set to most the indians (not so much Tendulkar and Dhoni) were good yesterday...

Good to see Aussie cricket on the rise again...

It was nice seeing him bring up the 150 with his baggy green on.

THat combined with no bat sponsor kind of took me back 60 or 70 years where there were no bat sponsors, everyone wore the baggy green...

And you won't find me bagging Ricky...

One thing I've learnt is you can't keep champions down for long...

this is the first place I've discussed cricket in ages - maybe ever - without the Ricky knockers... is so nice not be out on my own defending him against mostly unjust criticism

it's hard to bag the second best batsman this country has ever produced in 120 years.

my only criticism of the 3 current wise men in the middle order is that they they should be batting 1 spot up respectively. usman and now marsh have been sacrificed at 3... the hardest place in the XI to bat. big ask for blokes having played 3 tests to slip into first drop whilst guys that have played 70-150 tests, averaging 52, 50 and 49 or whatever, bat below. the new man on campus should bat at 6 and work his way up with experience.

clarke to me came across as a little knob when he was younger, but the guy is 30 or so now and a bloody good captain with a test average of about 49. he's changed a lot in 8 yrs.. apart from those try hard arabic tats. they look shit.
Yeh I've seen Pearl Jam, too. But I can't remember the dates.
  • Clarke's stocks have risen in my book.....
Finally he steps up in a tough situation.
That cut shot he played for a boundary was just magnificent, hit so clean.
And I am so happy for Ricky, champion player, a big f*** you to the critics.
Reminds me of that Steve Waugh tonne at the same ground in 2003.
    And Hussey, well done.
