Mate I was in pink.... Shook Steve Waugh's hand today... Legend....
Not feeling crash hot now. Have eaten so much junk and I drank quite a few beers...
On the plus side, got a text tonight saying Day 5 box seat tickets.... So, if they make it (fingers crossed) that will be days 1, 3 and 5. And how much have I spent on tickets? $0.00
Glad you enjoyed your day.
I thought the whole day was brilliant and the response to the McGrath Foundation day was all part of the entertainment.
It was a shame that when Cook was out the Australian team just seemed to ignore him. They may be getting a spanking but show some sportsmanship. Not sure what to think about the Hughes and Bell incidents. How does the technology fail, no hotspot on Bell's bat but the snickometer indicating Bell had hit it? I can understand Hughes appealing for the catch but was a bit surprised when the other fielders leapt into the air. They must have seen it wasn't a catch.
If the ball just skims the edge, the proximity of the hot spot camera plays a part. Obviously the closer you are, the more chance you have of catching those small edges.
As for Hughes, I am not too sure as I didn't have a good look. But wasn't there a referral in the last test where Swann thought he caught Siddle and it went up stairs? Bounced well infront of him. Nobody called him a cheat.
I didn't notice the Aussies reaction to cook. Probably just relief that they got him, plus it was a good catch. You will be pleased to know that I gave a standing ovation for Cook at 100 and Bell... Both when they reached their milestone and also when they got out.

chappelli shouldve smashed him when he had the chance in the southern car park in adelaide a few weeks ago.
Yeh I've seen Pearl Jam, too. But I can't remember the dates.
bulls ...he knew he had not caught that ball...he was cheating ..simple.
bell might(yes might) not have felt he hit the ball..and no hot spot..so you cant blame him for that..the snicko sound could have come from somewhere else.
but if bell knew he hit it then he should walk...i just dont think he knew.
and warne said he didnt like to see what hughes did .so its not just beefy.
Well I for one believe that if you edge the ball, you know if you have or haven't. No matter how fine the edge.
As they said in commentary, they said it was a tactical challenge. The commentators said (and these commentators included Grieg and Nicholas so not just bias Aussies) he went down to Prior and said 'did you hear it? is it faint enough?
I don't think he should have walked, but he shouldn't have challenged. He would have known he hit it. No doubt in my mind. And just more luck that has gone England's way in the last few years.
As for Hughes if you look at his reaction, he got the ball in less that half a second from the bat to his hands. He went to put his hands in the air like
'oh that was close' and someone
(probably Clarke) said 'I think you got it'
Then Hughes was like, 'maybe I have, yeah'
As for Bell, he isn't a cheat, but he cheated the system.

Swann is averaging 42 with the ball Of the top line bowlers for both teams, only Hilfenahaus is worse. But we weren't parading him as the best in the world. Even Johnson is averaging less than he.
I've bagged Swann out all series, but he still is a great bowler.
Anderson will jump up spots in the icc ranking. He should prob be at 2 behind Steyne.

again bulls ..what are you on about..swann has bowled how many times in a second innings when spinners do most of there work...oww yeah twice as we have beaten you by a innings 3 times now..
hes the one that just bowled 25 overs going at 2.5..letting the seamers change around at the other end being relentless.you would give your right hand to have him in your team and bowl how he did this tour..
and he can bat a bit .
this is the same wicket you could not take a wicket on all morning.
dont grasp at straws.
can you tell im enjoying this .

But averaging 42.... That stat doesn't lie. And striking at 92....
Honestly, How do you think Swann would rate his tour? I have said Anderson is the best, by a long shot. Tremlett has probably jumped to number 2 bowler of the series. Swanny will be disappointed. And if he takes these 3 wickets tomorrow, it might sweeten things up for him...

Graeme Swann, the England offspinner, took the most number of wickets in year 2010 in test matches = 64 in all from 14 tests at a strike rate of 54.0 while Dale Steyn finished just 4 wickets less from 3 fewer matches with incredible strike rate of 39. here's a list of top 10 test wicket takers of year 2010 :-
64 wkts = Graeme Swann (England), 14 tests, best = 6/65.
60 wkts = Dale Steyn (South Africa), 11 tests, best = 7/51.
57 wkts = James Anderson (England), 12 tests, best = 6/17.
49 wkts = Morne Morkel (South Africa), 11 tests, best = 5/20.
47 wkts = Zaheer Khan (India), 9 tests, best = 7/87.
46 wkts = Steven Finn (England), 11 tests, best = 6/125.
43 wkts = Harbhajan Singh (India), 12 tests, best = 5/59.
40 wkts = Mitchell Johnson (Australia), 11 tests, best = 6/38.
33 wkts = Mohammad Aamer (Pakistan), 7 tests, best = 6/84.
33 wkts = Mohammad Asif (Pakistan), 8 tests, best = 6/41.

Yeh! I hope you enjoy your lunch. I understand Humble Pie and Sour grapes have been put on the menu.
I just know this gloating by the English will be rewarded by us being bitten in the arse in a few years.
As the tickets are free I'm going to suggest to my daughter to go along as she and her boyfriend are in Sydney at this moment. She won't have a fuckin' clue but at least she can say she was there.
