Just sent an email to cancel my order with Aural Exports, it seems because I paid the lower price on the 24.07.10 I'm going to get penalised, not using them again after this, Ordered it with What Records.
I haven't canceled yet with them, I did order one from What records the other day. If I get an extra I have someone in mind who I'll give to. If these assholes end up refunding me, and if it appears the reason for that is because of price..... I'll be a royal pain in the ass for them. It's a slap in the face to drop this on us now. They should have known sooner and informed us. The email from Steve is as vague as it gets

Got the same email too from Steve Richards this morning. It's weird that you can still be placing orders for a copy through their website & many other online record stores. A reissue of a product that is very popular & very high demand like it's predecessor which is a collectors item that's value is pretty high today. Doesn't each record store have a max limit of copies they can pre order per store? You would think these Into The Wild record orders would be sold out by now.
Just stop pre ordering from steve . he works off the pre orders . steve has nothing in stock till u order .
I have had a pre-order through Aural Exploits since July and was charged about a month ago..was told the day before the mass email went out that orders would ship on the 5th... I've ordered from them a few times before and really hope they make this right.

That's great. But many record stores work off pre orders too. Many keep max limit records of orders they can take & sell out. I wonder how many orders of Into The Wild Aural Exploits had down for. It was shocking that the pre order started July 21st viewtopic.php?f=4&t=137620&start=0 .. and 2 months past orders were still taken down for it. You would think pre orders for it would sell out for that store. Amazon, Insound & many others have a max limit of a certain item (a pre order item) they can get. Even What Records last email told us that Tim had around 30 copies left.
Steve @ Aural tells me it is a distribution problem with North America as it is a European release, would explain why What Records are having no problem, ordered with them and refunded with Aural, cool works out better for me as I won't be waiting weeks for it to arrive after dispatch.

Only cause it causes a big ASS mess just like steve did for himself here . first he has to cut everyone a deal because of the price hike . then he finds out he might not get as many as he thought . i find it funny that no other online store as heard of this shortage . .. or did the mighty steve finally get shut out !!

all the other EU / music on vinyl comes threw with no problem . they guy needs to stop the pre orders . this is why he gets screwed and in return he screws his customers .

Aw shirt!...I'm sticking with Aural Exploits...Only because I was already charged and I'm too broke to place another order until I get a refund...Hopefully I get an album instead but its not looking good for AE right now...I was told two different things in one day and then yesterday I was told they wont know anything until Monday..which just so happens to be just about over....p.s. I've been going out of my way to be nice to Steve and AE about this but I'm just not feeling the love in return.
IM not worried, I ordered from Aural Exploits before and got the charge confirmation and they cool. They will let peeps know when they know, and simply noone knows in the US.

My advice: STAY AWAY FROM AURAL EXPLOITS LIKE THE PLAGUE.
Steve is rude and, I have found, a bit dishonest. Too many bad experiences with him. I just don't order from him any longer.

Spoke to my local vinyl shop and they seem to say it is an issue with Sony. just for kicks - did some searches and found that Best Buy can get the vinyl for the price of 51.98. Seems like a lot of smaller vinyl shops without the pull from Sony distributors are not going to get the amount they originally wanted if any at all.
