  • Clinton is the ONLY Dem I don't want in the race. If I had to pick "slimiest" candidate, she would undoubtedly win. I like Obama and Edwards. I don't see where people are getting the idea that Edwards is disingenuous. Maybe it's just me, but Hilary screams "dishonesty."

As for Republicans, I don't like Guliani and Huckabee. Everyone else, EVEN Romney, would be at least tolerable.

This is coming from a pessimist who gets himself in advance to prepare for various outcomes. :)

ok off subject of Ed's choice but here's a question..

why do most of the candidates feel the need to play guitar, or horn, or whatever just to show the "young people" they are "with it"?

Not that I know anything about who Ed is supporting, but the fact that he is from Chicago and a lot of his family still lives in Chicago, maybe Obama would be his choice-hometown ties. I know a lot of people in the midwest (I live in Indianapolis) that are supporting Obama and that is actually quite shocking considering the 10 years behind the times, red state that I live in. I love Indiana but a fact is a fact.

It makes me hopeful to support Obama, I'm hoping that his inexperience in how things are done in Washington will bring a new perspective to a system that is getting nothing done, but taking away my rights and killing people!!!!!

    THINK, it's not illegal yet!!!

I love my country, but I hate it's leaders.

yeah, as a woman, myself, I still do not believe that a woman should be president. That has nothing to do with whether or not they are intelligent or equipt for the job or any of that; there are many many smart woman in the world. I just think that our qualities we are born with, genetically, or if you could say (cause I am saying this is my reasoning)God given strengths that are given to each sex to balance it all out.
And as for me, many days during this war, during my emotional times by mood or calendar, I would have pressed the red button or whatever the heck the thing is that just puts places into crumbles........

so count me out. a man for president is better for me as long as he is honestly trying to do his job.

And shit, didn';t Hillary see A League Of Their Own
    THERE'S NO CRYING IN POLITICS!!!HILLARY...

(she didn't even cry when her hubby did that chick with the cigar
oh no now I get it.........people say she is a lesbian---he has to have sex with a cigar, get it?)

im reading alot of people say no matter what they wont vote republican, this is the same attitude that keeps this country divided

if you want universal health-disaster then vote Clinton
if you want amnesty for everyone and their brother vote McCain

then you have the "lets pull the troops out and let hell run over in the middle east" such as Obama and Paul

see all i ask of people is do a little research on all candidates and make an imformed decision, whether anyone likes it or not

me personally im voting Huckabee, which just because he is republican automatically counts him out to alot of you...IMO, and thats what it is, he is the best all around candidate for me

please if you vote, look at everyone

#5)I have kids so I am voting republican too.............

otherwise God knows what will be considered the norm. I Have no problem with new ideas, I just hate it when I see these political figures go back and forth so much you gotta wonder just WHAT IT IS they stand for? You know?

I haven't done too much individual research on them...I only know Hillary is out for me because #1, she is a woman and number 2, I do not respect her for what she put up with when her husband was in office and I can see people voting for Obama because (excuse the comparison---I am just pointing out how sick us "white folk" can be.......)he is like Tiger Woods; a fair skinned black man, (i.e.,my Greek aunts saying something like, 'you know that young fellow could pass for an Italian'. get my point? any other republicans for consideration?

ok,no racist was pointed out because he is not your typical black man and by thinking that, I was just mocking some of the white people I could almost hear saying that. I doubt even his fellow african american males would consider him a real negro living the way that some of had to either endure or overcome.

The sexist thing , well call it what you want. I am a woman and I am 100% fine with realizing that there are many strengths that each sex has that the other cannot do as well. "certain" traits--not all traits. And while, I do not presently want to see a woman in the president's chair, it's not because she is less of a person.
we really can grow ourselves beyond what we may have originally thought once we stop looking at others and saying, "why can't I", or "it's not fair", "you're doing it all wrong" and get on with our own strengths to make our world and as far as our world reaches, a better place to be.
oh and agreeing to disagree without calling people names is good too.

Being out here in the UK, and having a degree of fascination in the race for election, can someone fill me in on the apparent dislike of Clinton, i.e. the reasons why.....

Being from England I am one of many who has then upmost respect for her husband, who still stands out as one of the finest leaders in my lifetime. Sure some will disagree, but he is held in high esteem over here....

I think kermit the fucking frog would do a better job than your current man in charge....

  • the economy sucks
the national debt is exponentially growing
the middle class are paying for everything
developers continue to build houses (even though the housing market is collapsing) because of the huge tax breaks they are getting.
Our GNP is based on credit not manufacturing.
the War has done more to damage this nation than 9/11 ever could.
the poor are dismissed from hospitals for lack of insurance

These are reasons for not voting Republican.

Besides...do you really want religion playing such a major role in your government? Boooo Huckabee... Boooo Romney... Boooo McCain....

Let's get away from this garbage for once.
    the Minions
  • We don't need a leader (with the ability to declare war) with a mindset of Jesus vs. Muhammad is a boxing matchup.
    the Minions
  • Clinton has too much baggage-
for me personally- I would love to vote for a woman- I feel that in general they are better at seeing the big picture and a workable solution- but I am behind Obama 100%

I have seen him speak a few times and he is the kind of leader that we need to pull this country together.

    Sorry, Krist.

  • Pearl Jam doesn't know shit about politics.....their ridiculous support of Ralph Nader in 2000, brought us Bush. And the whole vote for change thing didn't do much good for us either. I'd say the person they aren't supporting will win.

If people can't do their own research- then they deserve what they get.
I hardly think that Ed Vedders support for Nader a few campaigns ago are to blame for the current administration.
    Nice try though
