So who do you think are the best new bands out there right now?

Still a big fan of KOL and BOH and recently have been picking up pretty good on The National.

Love this video. Blood Buzz Ohio. Would like to see PJ do something like it. Black and White. No visual live performance shots. Set in a pub bar-woods, trail, river. Beers. Solemn. Stoic. Reflective.

All you need is the song.

  • Even Mumford & Sons is 3 years old at this point. Is that still considered new?

A band is recognized when they explode on to the scene honestly. It's not right, but it's true.

Kinda how Avenged Sevenfold one the "Best New Artist" Grammy 6-7 years after they formed

Mumford and Sons are a weak rip-off of The Avett Brothers. I guess being from Europe makes them more credible with mainstream music types than some country boys from Carolina who have been doing it for 10+ years...

I agree but I think their first single is going to keep away a lot of new comers. They are the most energetic live bands I've ever watched live.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to
slide in sideways, BBQ sandwich in one hand, cold beer in the other,
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "Woo Hoo what a
    ride"!
